SampleTRON---Yes or No?

Let me start off by saying that I'd prefer this question not turn into another thread on IK 64 bit (and lack thereof) issues or when (if ever) Sampletank 3 will arrive. All I really want to know is how good and varied the sounds are in Sampletron--since it's on sale now. I'm kind of a fan of the tron genre, and dug the handfull of free tron sounds available in Sampletank Free. (I also have about a dozen tron type sounds in my factory K5 library-which I find a bit too clean, although I guess they could be dirtied up a bit with some work). Do I already have the highlights of Sampletron in ST Free? Are there lots of other really good sounds? What up, guys?

SampleTRON is like a time machine to me. This VSTi instrument is totally fascinating! I have spent a great deal of time just listening to the presets. Some of the sounds are a bit lo-fi and that really add an to their character! For $29.99, it is a steal IMHO.
Check out this video for more info on the actual instruments that were sampled:

I don't have sampletron but I did get the squids torn awhile back and I really like it. Some interesting lo fi sounds. I would say that it alone is worth the cash.

I picked up Sampletron yesterday after seeing the discount in an email I got...
I haven't had enough time to go through it very thoroughly, but it has some great sounds, including some really interesting and super-dirty sounds that have such a great vintage feel to them. Also, I really like the set of effects
I personally like IK Multimedia products a lot. I'm a really big fan of Sonik Synth 2 and I didn't have enough to pick up their SampleMoog offer last month. When I saw this, I knew I couldn't let another one slip away.
If you go through eSoundz, they give you a free copy of a Tron sample expansion pack for Sample Tank. It's like Squid's Squidtron by Sonic Reality; I'm NOT 100% sure about the name of the expansion, but I am sure that it has some nice sounds as well.
As a whole, the package deal I got through eSoundz (Sampletron and the Tron sample expansion pack for SampleTank) was worth every penny of the $29 I paid. I'm definitely glad I bought it.
Here's the promo I received in an email:
For eight days only, get the most incredible deal ever on IK Multimedia's SampleTron with sounds by Sonic Reality for just $29 ONLY at eSoundz. Not only do you get a leading virtual instrument at an amazingly low price, but ONLY at eSoundz, we are raising the deal to also give you a FREE Tron expansion library, Squid's Tron Collection Exclusive Extras to use with SampleTank or SampleTank FREE, an additional $129 value. That's a HUGE bonus and an amazing way to get a VAST Tron library for an incredibly low price.

I bought it via esounds and I'm very pleased, wonderful stuff. If you get from esoundz be sure to get the 50 combis for $10 at checkout, they are quite nice!

Hi braj, I bought this last night, and went to account to dl.braj wrote:I bought it via esounds and I'm very pleased, wonderful stuff.
There's only the "one" dl, that includes both the tron, and those extra sounds, right? I also didn't see any authorize numbers. I guess I have to install and connect first?
I'm lost on the install process for this one...any help, appreciate it.

I believe you need the IK authorization manager found here:mcnoone wrote:Hi braj, I bought this last night, and went to account to dl.braj wrote:I bought it via esounds and I'm very pleased, wonderful stuff.

You should see some serial number in your esoundz account, you enter that in the auth manager and then the download link will appear in your IK account. The download links are given by IK, not esoundz.
