NI. REAKTOR, worth learning ?

Let me be very clear. Being good at reaktor is not going to get you to the same level what Urs, who is probably the most talented developer right now in software synthesis, has achieved. Somebody like Urs is a rare beast and in his own vaulted realm.

With that being said learning visual programming, whether it be reaktor, pure data, usine or max, is worth it. If only because it is going into a situation with very few limits. It will make you more knowledgeable in terms of sound design and production.

Though I do warn you to be realistic about what you want to and can achieve. Making crazy instruments only limited by your own imagination is a good goal.

As people stated, going in inquisitively and being creative will probably yield the best results.
