My friend and I already bought it and are set for lifetime. Wasn't much to think about once we saw our progress and the updates that were coming out. Plus, if you think about it, you can even most likely learn new tricks from others in the pool.jensa wrote:I will have a serious go at Ohm Studio in the following days in order to decide if I and my friend will spend money on the life time subscription. The present lack of 64-bit is a no go for us to start using it due to our use of extensive Kontakt libraries, multiple Amplitube 3:s and BFD 2 in which all can eat up a lot of memory as we all know. Probably though, we will buy it anyway at €149 for future use since it looks very very promising, and I like the idea of supporting any dev when they most need it.

The hardest part seems to be to convince my friend right now... but to be on the safe side I guess I might have to buy him a subscription too.

Well it's simpler :
Free : limited (yet to be defined) projects, export to ogg only.
Subscribe : unlimited projects, all export available.
Regarding data size limit, we'll try to avoid introducing some. If really we have to, note that as explained in our FAQ

However, limitations will be probably set in the future for storage and bandwith but if so we will make sure that
- They only prevent abuses, not your actual needs.
- You are given the possibility to back up your projects to your disk and upload them again to the server.

When is this going 64-bit? If only if it was 64 bit, then I might have a go.

Well, it's got a few built in bits and pieces that are enough for trying it out, so you're not stuck for plugins to test with.
