I've decided to use this as an opportunity to do a complete, clean, optimized re-install from the OS up since I just ordered an upgrade to Komplete, so I'll resume testing in about a week using everyone's suggestions. I have an opportunity to purchase Samplitude 11 Pro, Pro Tools, or Sonar (haven't really thought of it as a contender but it's available to me) through my union at a reasonable price if none of this works. This could be the last time I re-install Cubase in an effort to suss out a technical problem.

What Vsti's were used?

I have bounced my tracks for years to save CPU for effects for mixing and have never had issues on any of the programs I have used over the years unless it was related to a plug in.
Superior Drummer 2 and Battery.
Never run into that problem before, I use SD2 and sometimes Battery or Ableton's drumracks (obviously when using pro tools Live is rewired or battery is used for the sake of being able to use plug-ins on the extra drum/percussion sounds triggered. My collegue users a similar setup but not Live or Pro Tools, In his case SONAR with Addictive Drums & Battery and has never had issues either, Knowing a good few people that use Cubase I have not heard of them bring up such an issue, Another very good friend is a SD2 and Battery user also for drum/percussion needs (We all use Kontakt also depending on the format of the third-party library/kits).

Im sorry I have nothing to suggest to help here but I do hope it gets sorted ASAP, Having used triggers along with acoustic drumkits for many years and some being right PITA triggering not that great I know all too well how it can/does ruin things albiet it being a different culprit, Its a groove/vibe killer for sure

Once youve got it working, make an image of it. Be careful of "optimising" as most of it is not needed on Win7.

As much as I am at home using pro tools, AVID as a company are bastards, Im on PT9 and won't be moving/giving them a penny unless something changes with thier pricing. It was all looking good as of v9 then they crushed that with v10, Then sold off alot of purchased brands down the river. I can use the certain VST plug-ins I like alot wrapped inside of PT9 via FXpansion's VST to RTAS adapter but it does not play ball with VSTi at all + with AVID changing to another new rip off tools only plug-in format in the form of AXX there is no certain information whether a VST to AXX adpater will happen. All the desirable TDM only processors/effects have not been ported and haven't a clue if they will be, Then after buying Pro Tools, you want abit more of this feature? Well get the wallet and iLok ready as it will require one of the additional 'Toolkits'...etc.

Ah heck I am really sounding like an old, bitter and twisted incarnation of my future self :hihi: but all I am trying to say is all that glitters is not gold and really checkout each if problems are not resolved :D
