Not that I really care that much how pop music sounds like, I'm having too much fun in rthe studio cooking up my own sounds. That's what really counts for me.

not only pop! everything is too loud.

i am so pissed off.... producers of electronic music are dynamically so limited because of the loudness war, but people are not aware of that... and hundred tracks coming out daily wont make this any better, I don˙t see future here.... and the "cream" on top is this f**** dubstep who destroyed almost all electronic genres. wtf is going on..
just look at beatport, nobody is trying to come up with something new, all they do is that they copy the charts, and follow the scene. But the scene is so f**ked up that it cant be any more. Sorry but I must use this "harsh" words.

haha and then there is a remix contest, and guys attack with their WOBBLE remixes, and gameboy synths with heavy effects. That music has no soul and will never have soul. That is funny.

I hate to say it, and I'm shoveling out my foxhole right now to get some cover, but I really think this kind of thing was inevitable.

Electronic music, per se (not simply the use of synthesizers or synthetic tones), has always been treading a fine line where it could at any time veer off into a territory that is really more about sound than music. I think that's happened with dubstep, and I'm certain there are pockets of it happening throughout the past 30 years in other areas as well.

you are right, but not 100% right

. Sometimes we got many styles of electronic music, now we have dupstep and other styles mixed with unnecessary dubstep inserts.

im talking about breakbeat, drum and bass, electro house, trance, electro. the "dubstep effect" has a great impact on those "styles".. Somedays the charts were nice to hear, now you hear only this music without any soul. But there is still electronic music who sticks to the "roots". Mostly is this tech house, techno, electronica, minimal (techno,house,tech). I am glad there is still a lot of underground producers who dont care about mainstream (Fuckpony, trentenmoller, nathan fake, james holden, richie hawtin, gui boratto and many many more, those are the real guys).

What is wrong is that there are too much producers who focus only on success, and sell their soul for charts. Yes it is hard to come up with something new, but you can do it. If I can do it, they can do it.
