Turnado is actually really good

Don't know why, I was expecting it to be a bit gimmicky. It isn't, it's really good. I didn't know you could go "behind the scenes" for each knob and set everything up, from how the effect behaves and modulates, to what ways it responds to the knob being moved. You can even quantize the modulations and modify them with curves and stuff.

Really impressed. It's a complete glitch and multi-FX construction suite, far beyond the simplistic "select an effect and turn the knob" mindset of it's advertising material - though, don't get me wrong, this optional simplicity is also a boon for it when you just want quick inspiration.

Stutter Edit seems pretty cool to me, got the demo but somehow feel I might be able to do a lot of that stuff with something like Etch which I already have. Haven't really looked into it yet though.

It has some pretty good sounds and some I've heard before, but I wonder how did the pro's do those sounds because they didn't have stutter. I mean how did they even come up with them.

Buying stutter feels like a short-cut, a useful one though. I just wonder about it.

Yes, it is good. I tested the demo the another day, i'm impressed.
I even prefer this one instead of the Effectrix, both from the same company.

I would like to see an effect like this in the DC12. I would vote for it, no doubt.

I'm a lover of glitchy, interesting and original stuff.
If i would have money, i would buy it, no doubt.

Absolutely. I think it is much better than stutter. And much easier to use..

But if remember correctly it works different than Effectrix and needs more automation? Effectrix has this step sequencer to control stuff.
But there are more effects with Turnado?

Turnado has more effects and more presets. If you don't want to automate much, you could always use the dictator, which is a control unit for multiple effects at once.

the price appears as 99€ / 119$ in google search which is less than the current price, even though there should be a "hot deal" on. strange.

even that would still be too much. sugar bytes stuff is pretty nice but i've always thought they cost 2x what they should.

I just checked the SB website and the price seems to be back to normal.

Still, you can still get Stutter Edit for $119 at Audio Deluxe if you use the effects coupon code. But don't leave it too long in case the coupon code disappears.

I find Stutter Edit is great for triggering effects using a midi keyboard/controller. I also own Etch and there's no way it could match Stutter Edit or Turnado. Etch is a filter and Turnado and Stutter Edit are so much more.

In fact if you had Turnado or Stutter Edit you wouldn't really need Etch or any other creative effects really.

Thanks - looks like they ran it for just a week. Oh well, it's far too expensive at its current price. Stutter Edit never interested me because it doesn't support host automation.
