I am going to begin the process of converting PRIZM's 16GB core library to another format so it can work cross-platform on the Mac and PC.
Question is, what format would that be?
Please fill out the poll to help me decide.

The good news is that Kontakt was ALWAYS planned.
I'll probably have to do it as monolith files, however.

Hm. I read the only user review available here on KVR <http://www.kvraudio.com/product/prizm-a ... hs/reviews> and if that review is in fact as accurate as it seems to be, I think you have a lot more on your hands than just converting the core library to Kontakt format.
I guess that one major task would be to actually treat the samples as raw material and use the Kontakt synth engine tools for looping, filtering, LFOs, FX, and so on and so forth and in that process radically reduce the size of the library.
I have to say that I'd hardly plunk down the moola if I weren't convinced that the Kontakt/cross platform version had been upgraded to a thoroughly professional standard.

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

I'm tempted to vote EXS24, because that's what I have. But I think Kontakt would be the best choice, it's highly configurable, cross-platform, and widely used as a platform for third party libraries. It just makes the most sense.

SFZ would be easy for you, and constitute a good alternative, since it is a very open format. That said, Kontakt is a kind of "de facto" standard, which is guaranted to generate sales, IMO. I would add both to the package, as a whole. This will cover pretty much all bases for you. Perhaps you could make use Kontakt 3, which files can be read by several other samplers. AFAIK this doesn't happen with Kontakt 5 (I just bought Komplete update, and I'm still waiting for it to test).
