This is an incredible synth. 8) As silly old Ronald McDonald would say, "I'm lovin' it!"

Two questions:

1. I'm using MUX x64 in Reaper 4 x64. MUX allows me to add x64 VST/VSTi plugins but if I try to add any of my 32 bit plugins they are disabled. Do I need to have the 32 bit version of MUX installed to use my 32 bit VST/VSTi's in MUX? If so, how do I do this in Reaper because it will only show the x64 version of MUX.

2. I can't use midi learn with my VST/VSTi's. I can only use it with MUX controls. Does this mean I have to map any plugin controls I want to use to MUX? If so, how do I do this?

3. I entered my registration key but MUX doesn't say in the 'about' window whether it registered correctly. Will you make this much clear so I know that I've entered the key correctly please?

Regarding the bit bridge, since Reaper does this automatically I don't know how that will work. I am using JBridge and all my 32 bit plugs work great in MUX bridged. Is there a way in Reaper to create bridged versions? If not I think you'd need JBridge.

You could be right because Reaper x64 automatically bridges 32 bit plugins. Perhaps MUX x64 needs the same kind of automatic ability otherwise I can't use half my plugins with it.

I just created my first super patch using a MUX synth, Massive, CamelSpace and assigned MUX filter and cut off to my controller keyboard. I didn't think MUX would remember it correctly but it opens perfectly. It gave me a little shiver... :o

To load 32 bit plugins in the 64 bit MUX you also need to plugin the bridged versions into 64 bit MUX. Hope i explain well. Bottomline: Whenever you want to load 32 in 64 you need a bridge.

Are the VSTs connected to event input? If not then they won't receive the MIDI controller events.

The fact that the splash screen pops up is a confirmation that MUX has been unlocked. Also the demo noise has gone then.

Ok registration is sorted out now, thanks.

I now understand how to trigger events on my VST/VST's.

The only thing I'm not sure about is how to bridge my 32 bit plugins. :?

Q: If Reaper has already bridged my 32 bit plugins does it create copies of them that I could use in MUX? Or do I need to bridge all my 32 bit plugins separately for MUX? It could get complicated if I have to create a copy of my 32-bit plugins folder just so I can bridge them for MUX. Lost in confusion... :ud:

Does reaper create any sort of temp directory with its bridged .dlls? Maybe if it does you can locate it and select those for use in the MUX.

That would be great but I'm not sure that it does. At least I've never seen or heard of anything like this.

I've looked in the Program folder, My Documents, Public Documents, AppData and ProgramData folders and I can't find any Reaper folder containing bridged 32 bit VST/VSTi plugins. I think Reaper must do it on the fly.

Oh, i think i understand now: Reaper has its own 32->64 bit bridge, right? That's a little prob indeed, i don't think MUX can access Reaper's own bridge.
However you don't need to copy all your VST plugins, but yo do need to bridge them with jBridge, see http://jstuff.wordpress.com/jbridge/

I'm looking in Preferences>Plug-ins>Compatability there is 'automatic bridging' plus some other options that possibly act differently than on the fly. I dunno. But one thing is I had heard Reaper's bridge wasn't as robust as JBridge, and JBridge is pretty cheap. I dunno how accurate that is.

This is a bugger of an issue for using MUX with Reaper if you are dealing with a lot of bridged plugins you wish to use. I personally don't like Reaper's extra window you have to look at when bridging plugins, but it does do its thing on the fly. I imagine you could use Reaper's bridge alongside JBridge in MUX, just you need to individually bridge the ones for MUX.

Reaper seems to bridge automatically without creating bridged plugin files so I've checked out jBridge which will scan and create jBridged copies of plugins that are put into a separate folder. Theoretically I can then add them to MUX and they should work. jBridge costs 15 euros but it's worth it I suppose.

Sorry, HB, can't be any more helpful. Relieved to see you performing your consumer duty again. Order and balance is restored to the audio universe.
