So its illegal to sample a drumkit from a h/w synth? Thats weird - linndrum, akai, etc. samples are all over the net. hollowsun, for example.

The samples are from where? (records, studio session tapes, etc...?) Did you made them yourself?

Yeah that's right. Especially so if the synth/drum module is sample based. So actually there's quite a few infringements in the "Banks/Patches" section of this site.

Vintage gear with analog circuitry is however a different matter since it's not possible to "own" a sawtooth waveform or something like that..
