because of many requests, I've done a quick tutorial playing around a supersaw sound and some variations from scratch:
Had to split it into 2 parts...
I hope it's not too boring
Cool, I have piz too, I'll try that.braj wrote:I'm so freaking happyI figured out how to use piz's midiKeySplit inside MUX with midiScaleChanger to both transpose/rescale part of the keyboard in one key/scale and leave another part alone. Now I can use Strum Electric with whatever scale I want and still have the strum keys using the same track and keyboard. Maybe this is 1986 tech for some but it is huge for me, it was cumbersome in S1 to do this and I ended up using 2 keyboards, now it is just part of my default Srtum patch, and I have Guitar Rig on the same MUX so the setup is so easy now
MUX rocks.
If for example you process some sound with different FX chain in parallel, if the PDC is not correctly set, depending on the delay you'll generally hear comb-filtering effect because of some cancellation. You must then compasente with "Pure Delay" in one of the chain.braj wrote:Under what circumstances is it necessary to use this module, and how do you determine the settings and where it goes in the signal chain? So far I haven't notices any latency but then I dont have the best hearingmutools wrote:MUX does not yet do auto PDC. You can do it manually using the "Pure Delay" module. However the latency reported to the host will still be 0 as it's not yet a supported feature. I've taken note of this on the MUX wishlist.
Best advice if you don't want become insane.xx JPRacer xx wrote:But as always, the important thing is if you can't hear any problem and the sound is fine then don't waste your time with this.
braj wrote:cool. Regarding pricey, there is a promo going on right now for 49 euros,

Wouldn't it be easier to just slip the MUX track backwards/ earlier?xx JPRacer xx wrote:Problem is you'll have to add track delay to all tracks, except the MUX one.
Yes, but I think some hosts only allow you to add delay. But you're 100% right, this is much easier!como baila wrote:Wouldn't it be easier to just slip the MUX track backwards/ earlier?xx JPRacer xx wrote:Problem is you'll have to add track delay to all tracks, except the MUX one.

I've not noticed a delay either but then I'm not recording anything in real time. Perhaps that's when the problem occurs?braj wrote:Yeah I have been playing guitar with MUX with POD Farm, Amplitube, and Guitar Rig and none of them has any noticeable delay that I hear. I will leave this to the pros to worry about

Maybe. I don't generally record with effects on through my DAW anyhow. I have a soundcard with 0 latency and it has direct monitoring of its own DSP, or whatevermunchkin wrote:I've not noticed a delay either but then I'm not recording anything in real time.
