If you contact [sales-inquiry at arturia dot com] and explain the problem Arturia sales team will sort it out very quickly. 8) I assume you need to email them using your Arturia account email and give your full name so they can check you are eligable.
Yeah, I've read about it in their forum...seems they realized,
that they have to do something about it.
Indeed, after I wrote another email about my issue to this new contact,
they replied within an hour (in the evening, which I didn't expected !)
and fixed the issues I had with my purchase.

Now on to explore some stuff...

Cheers
I'm glad you got it sorted out. It really does seem the Arturia took on board our complaints and set up this new system.

I wasn't sure if the V Collection would be that worthwhile because I'd read comments on KVR that all the synths sounded the same but after playing them for awhile I think this isn't the case at all. I don't know if they sound like the originals having never owned any of them but these version definitely each have their own distinct sound.

I was going to turn my nose up at Arturia because of the support delays but I'm really glad I stuck it out and waited until Arturia sorted out the problem. (Ok, who am I kidding, they could have strapped me up in a SAW trap and I would've still found a way to get out and buy it - that's what GAS does to you...:-o)

Mine got sorted out this morning as well, although it was a different problem (paypal crash). Given the time difference it was pretty quick.

Uggh watch out you all. I just got charged a 3% foreign transaction fee on my credit card after buying this from the Arturia site. Maybe there is a way others can avoid this?

I have a little doubt.

Do i need a dongle or something?
I have read another thread about V collection needs an USB, etc.

Anyone could take me out from my confussion? :)

Have a good day :)

However, I am in the unfortunate position of having separately purchased the V Collection 3 on special offer three days ago from JRR Shop (download) for about £50 more than this upgrade price.

I don't know whether Arturia is taking this into account or not. I now have to decide whether to risk upgrading it and then attempting to sell the second copy to cover my "loss" on having made my somewhat premature purchase of the first copy (if you follow me!).

On the other hand, I thought the JRR shop was a good deal at the time so I might just grin and bear it :-)
I have ended up getting multiple licences so I can keep them installed on different PCs at the same time plus USB License Sticks. Admittedly a luxury - but it works for me! :)

Each time the extra licences have been "offers" of some kind. 8)

with Elicenser copy protection you have a standalone application that manages all your licenses. when you buy a new product that's protected by elicenser the developer, besides registration details, sends you something called an 'activation code'. you enter the activation code into the Elicenser standalone application, and it then downloads your personal license from their servers via the internet.
Once the license has been downloaded via the elicenser application, you then choose where that license goes.

So you can either 'attach' it to your hard-drive, or put it on any elicenser dongle that is connected.

In short no you don't need a dongle. But, it's handy to have one anyways because if you need to move the license from one computer hard-drive to another you will need to do it physically i.e with a dongle. In many ways elicenser is superior to iLok, but i must say it is a bit of a drag that you've got to post dongles if you want to transfer your license to someone. Cheaper than iLok's $25 transfer per license, no doubt about it, but sometimes that's more convenient. certainly quicker for the buyer. elicenser dongles are also very cheap if you shop around {i buy mine from xils-lab for example because they sell them close to cost price}

beware elicenser on the hard drive cannot be restored if the hard drive does down.
