Regarding upgrading from (Aether + Breeze + Aether Presets) (i.e. "role your own" Perfect Storm 1.0) to Perfect Storm 2.0, we should have the necessary web store change ready for this tomorrow...

I will send an email and post here also.

Ya Sascha D does great work... (So does Sasha the DJ whom I also work with and use our stuff with..)

Hopefully it does not get boring for you guys to hear about stuff I worked on myself all the time... If you guys point me to some stuff you worked on using our stuff, I will talk about that instead. :) Sometimes people hoard their stuff though and don't want to share their secret sauce, so it becomes hard to get big project stuff that we can actually talk about... Hence I have to show what I did... hopefully it does not sound like "look at me, I'm so cool" etc... :D that's not the intent...

This is not ready yet. It should be tomorrow. We had to change and test something in the web store to accommodate this request. Please see above.

I just went around the block last night through the B2 presets: this is no Breeze! (the plugin I mean...). It clearly has a family sound but it's definitely a different horse with a much higher degree of subtlety and flexibility. In fact, my only negative observation would be that among the amazing variety of presets there is sometimes too little contrast between similar ones, subtleties that will get easily lost in a complex mix and are usually customized to context.

It's also surprising how streamlined and uncomplicated the interface is considering how much control it gives you but I still want to see the manual especially to decipher the abbreviations and acronyms and understand some of the controls better.

Great stuff!

I read somewhere you worked together on Involver - some great sounds in that (I love the Virus soundset that he made for it too)

Thank you Andrew, will send you a link to some of the new demos later today so you can include them in your B2 widget. What glorious times for sounddesigners and musicians these are :hail:

250 usd is just too much for me for a plugin nowadays. 199 is the max i would pay (and will, for the Slate VTM).

maybe i can buy this used someday.
Finally!

Echoes in the Attic wrote:By the way, this has some crazy cpu issues on mac. It's reasonable at first, but if you delete the instance and load it again, it starts to go up the more you change things and completely take the whole processor cpu and cause crackles. This is an i7 macbook pro, OSX Lion.
I've run into similar on my macbook C2D 2.4 with 10.6.8.

Can you guys give specific reproduce recipes?
Sorry I missed this before. That pretty much is the recipe. I had better luck last time I worked with it. I think DSP-Quattro with VST might have had more trouble than Pro Tools. I'm no expert, but the behavior seems to be, or be like, when something needs to be optimized on/for a particular platform, Mac in this case.

I attributed the problems to my system until I saw Echoes in the Attic's post. Realize that my demoing is hardly methodical. I'm going "what's this do? what's that do? I like this, I don't like that." It also seems like the usage doesn't reduce sometimes when you turn off particular functions.

As was mentioned, the crackling controls are disconcerting. There just seem to be more than I'm used in a reverb. I think some maybe crackles from spikes, rather than something that always does it or something that always doesn't. Demos that have been presented with some of the same parameters automated, don't seem to exhibit this behavior.

Awesome, thanks!

I'm absolutely blown away by B2 and can't wait to get the licensed version in place :)
