I agree with Massive, Sylenth, DCAM... Zebra only at #7 and Diva at #8?

again: it is based on "britcentrism": three synths out of 10 are british (!) and called "classic". I don't know about nr.3 "synthmaster", never heard before. Is it an english product? If yes it is 4 UK synths out of 10 LOL. A little bit too much in a world dominated by german products Reminds me "the best pop songs in the world" 100% anglo-american

you're misunderstanding me: i've asked EVERYWHERE for a 64bit AU for mac; on these forums, in email. no response. but when i've needed tech SUPPORT, lennard is excellent.

if you go to the lennardigital forum here at kvraudio, i've snuck my request into a half-dozen threads.

Wow, CM and I have pretty similar taste in synths. The only one I haven't owned there is SynthMaster, and I may some day. No longer have sylenth1 and DCAM though. However I only sold sylenth1 because I'm convinced it's dead. Who leaves a synth in "beta" for over two years? To me that just shows a complete lack of care/respect for your customers.

I guess all of the music out there with Sylenth in it must be an aberration? It's just crazy that a synth that seems to be letting you down has been in more released music than any of us could track down or name in a lifetime.

No quite the opposite. I bought it because it sounds great and I'm very aware that it's used all the time for good music. However I don't have confidence that it will be updated and move to 64 bit mac etc. So as much as I enjoyed it, I thought I'd stick with stuff that seems to have a future. There are many great plug-in synths to choose from, I don't need any one particular one so if a developer can't even be bothered to slap a final release together for a beta that's been over 2 years, I might as well go with the others. Just my opinion, use whatever you enjoy.

Personally I think you're helping create a caustic and negative atmosphere that causes developers to clam up. The constant badmouthing, speculation, and rumormongering just gets old, and shows a complete lack of care/respect.

Selling a great synth like Sylenth is ... cutting off one's nose to spite ... well, whatever.

I don't think I'm helping create a negative atmosphere towards Sylenth1. Sylenth1 being in beta for years did that on it's own. I'm not bad-mouting it, just pointing out that by any reasonable expectation, it seems to not be in development. The point of my post was that that's the only reason I sold it (when trying to downnside due to having too many synths), but it's still great. It sounds like you're being a little overly defensive about it. I'm glad you like it and glad you have faith in it's future (which maybe you don't, thus causing the defensiveness), but there's nothing wrong with pointing out that a developer has lost interest in maintaining a synth, it's just a simple truth that can't be argued about after 2 and half years of silence. But hey I wish him well in whatever is new job is, I'm sure he's brilliant at it.

Or you could say Sylenth is a load of old cock that should have been put out to pasture ages ago and the developer has penchant for being a miserable sod who's been AWOL for years.

SynthMaster is based in the US. TBH the UK is influential because it makes more innovative dance music than the continent and the US and it's a UK mag. The US and German music mags give priority to home grown stuff as well. Women's Own is also more likely to have features related to the UK. Home grown stories are their meat an potatoes. 3 UK based developers out of 10 isn't exactly waving the flag.

dance music? UK?!... Where? When?... Who?... 3 UK developers out of 10 is too much, for me, considering outside UK english products and musicians are almost unknown.
