No, it's a Turkish product, and have been reviewed in many magazines for the past year (Computer Music Magazine, Future Music Magazine, DJ Mag, Beat, Keys, Interface, etc)myrna wrote:I don't know about nr.3 "synthmaster", never heard before. Is it an english product?

Funny how so many people have issues with the synths chosen. If you could somehow search for the top 10 discussed synths on this forum, I don't think the list would be much different.

I'm actually stunned KarmaFX Synth Modular didn't make it. KarmaFX Synth shits all over most of the stuff in those lists.Doug1978 wrote: 10) Karma FX

You mean you don't give a damn. You're just ignorant about dance music but that's probably because you're not interested in it and there's no crime in that. If you were Skrillex then you'd be ripping off Grime left, right and centre. How could all those neo-elecktro bands that have come to dominate dance music, including contemporary hip hop, over the past 15 years have ever existed without 80's UK synth pop (and YMO/Kraftwerk of course)?
The combined influence of US/UK musicians and DJ's (with help from the Germans/Italians) have fundamentally shaped modern dance music. Everything you listen to dance wise is influenced by them and continues to be. But if you want to convince yourself otherwise then you'll continue to know nothing about the history of dance music. There's no charge for ripping off UK innovations in dance/synth music (after all, UK musicians are like magpies as well) but at least have the grace to acknowledge these influences.

I agree with Massive, Sylenth, DCAM... Zebra only at #7 and Diva at #8?

I think they got a bit of tribal influences that can be traced to music of African origin...munchkin wrote:The combined influence of US/UK musicians and DJ's (with help from the Germans/Italians) have fundamentally shaped modern dance music.

A brief quote from the CM issue:
"Massive's acceptance as the dubstep synth of choice marks one of the first instances of a soft synth being cast as the "voice" of a genre. And that's pretty cool by us."
