Weird, i always thought elek7ro sounded pretty sucky compared to Noisemaker (hence that's why it says it's a "improved version of elek7ro" on their site).
No idea what you mean with completely flawed filter section btw, the only problem i faced was a loss of sounds with extreme settings on the mod enevelope thingie.

I have to say I'm growing very fond of this synth, even the Gumby buttons. I'm glad it doesn't have a bunch of additional features beyond the Juno, though the velocity controls are welcome, and I like how immediate they are to adjust. The GUI is nice large and clear.

I'm really glad they didn't opt for a 'realistic' GUI ala Arturia and throw a keyboard on it. A little part of me wishes it were one long row but that is just silly. It makes great use of available space and is very clear.

GUI is spot on, as big as it should be, and as simple as it should be. I hope the sound is also big and simple as it should be.
I think monsieur TAL absolutely deserves some donations and purchases after so many years of supporting the freeware scene with great sounding plugins.
In the end, there are so many great VSTi... you just have to know how to mix them. Some require more of this or that... NoiseMaker is great! ♥ it.
Cheers!

Awesome - glad this is out... gonna scrounge up $35 and hop on this.
Just curious: Will there be any additional patches coming?
And as far as everybody talking about an Alpha Juno emulator... you can make a Juno 6/60 or 106 sound pretty damn close. I would rather have a JX8P / JX-10 emulator. Which is hopefully nearly done (by another developer, google it). You can't get the Junos to sound like the JX. The JX was the pinnacle of Roland analog synthesis. I've owned all 3 series simultaneously.

I the same post i mentioned that i know Diva does not have the same parameter values but it should be possible to get comparable sounds with some tweaking like Braj already mentioned.electro wrote:Parameter for Parameter TAL-Uno-LX has been tweaked to perfection. Its exactly same as the Juno.Ingonator wrote: I made only a fast comparison with Fernando's Juno 60 presets for Diva. I am sure that with some more tweaking you could get the sound of both (Diva and U-NO-LX) closer.
As you got the real Juno-60 you got a better comparison than i have with the audio demos here: http://www.synthmania.com/juno-60.htm
Ingo
As i already mentioned i purchased U-NO-LX to get a proper Juno-60 emulation.
My only real complaint is that i found a little lack in the low end of the sound but i could be wrong with that. I'll post an demo with and without using an additional EQ soon.
Besides that there seems to be a bug like already mentioned:
- The factory sounds sometimes disappear from the list in the menu. Could be solved by closing an re-opening the GUI
This is not very easy to replicate. It happened after using the plugin for a while and browsing through presets.

Tone2 Saurus could do PWM for all waveforms and some seem to be inspired by Alpha Juno waveforms. quote from the Saurus manual:fmr wrote:The PWM of the Alpha Juno may also be applied to the saw wave, which is something we hardly see, even nowadays.olikana wrote:the juno60 has PWM! (and so does this TAL emulation)LeVzi wrote: Then maybe a Juno 60 / Alpha Juno 2 mashupIt's the PWM i'd be after tbh, it's where the hoover came from, and well we all know how popular it was. Put PWM into this and you've got it all covered. And maybe the additional waveforms.
"5. Double square - Sounds similar to the PWM Sawtooth wave of the Alpha Juno.
PW morphs to Double pulse
6. Comb - Sounds similar to the Comb wave of the Alpha Juno. Good for vocaloid sounds; PW morphs the vocal"
Xils Oxium could do PWM for the Saw (and the Triangle) too but maybe not in a similar way.

A little EQ for the bottom end and a little plate reverb and this is a beast!

Already discovered the part with the EQ myself. I also tried adding an additional Dimension D Chorus (from Empty Room Systems) which makes the sound even bigger.braj wrote:A little EQ for the bottom end and a little plate reverb and this is a beast!

This is what us older folks had to discover on our own with the original Juno 60.Ingonator wrote:Already discovered the part with the EQ myself. except we used guitar pedals and rackmount reverbs.

I BOUGHT IT
And it is spot-on! Thank you so much for this creation.
I am satisfied with my purchase to no end.
But I have to report:
BUG REPORT:
(NO LONGER AN ISSUE -- PROBLEM SOLVED IN UPDATE 1.61)
The ARP function does not continue (notes cease playing) when I try to hold notes using the sustain pedal and release the keys on my midi controller. I'm guessing the midi note-off has priority over the sustain pedal? Hope this gets fixed.
Ableton Live 8.3.x, OSX 10.6.8
