dmorr wrote:Hey guys. This is totally not what I posted about. It's totally fine, I'm not trying to be ungrateful, but these responses are unrelated. I was looking for something that had an internal step-sequencer which was actually could be assigned to a custom midi controller so that I could program and save drum patterns without having to touch my computer. As if I was using a 909 or 808 machine.

If you don't know what I'm talking about then please don't make a reply.
Era does exactly what your request states.
if you cant figire it out thats your problem lol.

its a plugin that allows you to program beats, or any mucical phrase using your midi device to interact with every step.

Eg to control the pitches of each step just assign CC1 1. Subsequent cc's (ie 2,3,4 etc) will be automatcally mapped to the subsequebnt steps.
Im controlling every step with a Regelwerk.

Exactly what youve asked for.

The beauty is you can use it with any synth/drum machine
+1

i totally forgot to mention it... very very powerful and controllable! ;-)

I can't find a demo for ERA since it is officially discontinued. Does it work OK bridged?

Hey varikusbrainz, thanks, Era looks promising. I'm going to try it out and see if I can make it work for my setup.

If not, I think I'm going to just build a sequencer in Reaktor.

Thanks everyone for your responses, it was helpful. Gave me a better idea of what is out there.
