I believe there is a M*A*S*H episode that mentions him ;)

(M*A*S*H: Season 8, Episode 19 Morale Victory)
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Here's another example (Bach / Brahms):

There are actually not that many intruments that lend themselves to being played on handed, but even though it's possible this guy is doing something pretty amazing.

I think the only other instrument I saw played one handed was violin with the bow being held with the teeth which is pretty incredible considering how the chin and shoulder are used to support the violin.

And to this day many pianists perform the most well-known of the works written for Wittgenstein, the Ravel Piano Concerto , using just the left hand.

Huh?
How?
Both this one and the concerto in G are standards, I would say Ravel is "rated" about right...
(I think you mean that 'Bolero' is over-exposed)

The second movement of the concerto in G is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I know, btw. That melody... *sigh*

Well no, not really. :)

These two handed guys playing with one hand don't impress me much. It's just highly proficient wankery, a bit like this arsehole:

I hate it when people like Michael Angelo (Mastur)Batio try to rip off Nigel Tufnel

:hihi: Batio's prime influence perhaps. Hair-wise at least.

Not that i want to impair your point, but i think that guy is not allowed to compete anymore, as they found out that he has a too big advantage with his prostheses. If i remember right...

You're speaking of Oscar Pistorius, right? He came in 2nd in the preliminary, and last in the semi-final during the 400m..

Ah, sorry, seems like the story i talked about is some years old already... he wasn't allowed to start for the olympic games 2008. Nevermind. :)
