Whose company? As I've stated many times, I don't work for NI- I just moderate forums and test for them.

So you're a volunteeer? Grand job! I did some volunteer teaching andreally enjoyed it, but it's my daughter's wedding soon, expensive. I wish I could do something for Reaktor again, but I just can't afford it. I worked in it since 1999. Feels strange.

Going by observation, Ernest isnt that willing to adjust his worldview to fit the known facts.

Wishing you joy in your work, ew. I hope things work out ok for you folks. We 've differences in technical opinions, but whatever differences we have, you know I have the best interests of software developers and artists at heart, including those in your company.

More people can enjoy making art now in new ways than ever before. People may be hunting for "better new ensembles;" but there's so much to enjoy already.

ummm....Steinberg rebirth? Didn't have that. My first musical program was an echo program written in 6502 assembly code for a Commodore 64, in 1986. After moving to Silicon Valley in 1988, an A/D board spcialist gave me an enormous ISA card for my home-built PC so I could transfer my code to 80186 machine code. The memory loops used almost all the DRAM: 640Kbytes.

When I first saw Generator (which became Reaktor), I had only ever seen one other program like it, a CASE program for semiconductor DSP programming. It cost...$50,000! Reaktor was a total bargain at $500!

that's really interesting midiex. Thanks Nix. There's people in Germany with alot of experience too.

Herw is an extraordinary man. He made one of the most interestig modulars in Reaktor. He is quite shy, teaches mathematics.

Another interesting fellow there I think is ...Dieter Zobel???I'm not sure the spelling is right. He makes music toys to amuse his children, with a distinctive bunnyhand animation. He dosn't write many words. His constructions are very imaginative, I think.

Rebirth was indeed branded as Steinberg initially, around the Neon/Model E days.
I just recycled the box the other day.
I don't have anything against gravity but it really does weigh me down
