It is useful outside a daw just to work out progressions, then drag in later. I would keep it if I were you. I'd even say that that having it outside may keep distractions at a minimum. Its super easy to make a few clips, drag to the desktop, make a few variations, drag and keep going. I also am disabled so anything that makes note entry easier is welcomed. I also spend a lot of my time bound to my bed or bedroom.

No I just found that on the net on my phone before bed. Bad huh? Prices definitely are, wasn't sure about the loops. The sale timing looked suspicious, "buy before midnight" I wonder what it says nowttoz wrote:ok man now THEY are bad. please don't tell me you bought that

I remember that site from four years ago, it hasn't changed a bit. First, all the midi loops were automatically generated by a computer (he freely admitted this in a forum) and there are tons of them, each slightly different from the previous one. You can guess how good they are.braj wrote:No I just found that on the net on my phone before bed. Bad huh? Prices definitely are, wasn't sure about the loops. The guy who runs the site used to rotate the prices in cycles of five or six days back then. For example, Monday > $69, Tuesday > $49, Wednesday > $39, Thursday > $29, Friday $19, Saturday $69 again ...... it was really funny.

I'd love to see a multi-track version, with bassline and maybe a mono lead line, all synced to the same chord changes. Yeah, I know Band in a Box exists but a small tool that fits in the DAW is preferable to me personally. Some integration ala Melodyns in Studio One would be mighty cool.

Thanks for the heads up on this plug and deal. Looks like a winner for people who can't play keys such as myself. I've always wanted to learn but this is a good toe in the water.braj wrote:I was playing with the very annoying demo, which detunes every minute or so, ready to uninstall, then I decided to try and import my own midi (think it must be disabled) but it let me, and I took a simple phrase I played and truned it into a very cool little string of phrases. So I went looking to buy if I could find it cheap, and Audiodeluxe just happens to have a Toontrack sale through the 31st if you use 'toon25off' code you get 25% off your Toontrack stuff. It cost me $89.25 which is $5 less than the last lowest price they had. Anyhow, throw some eggs or whatever but it looks like a cool little composition tool to me. The piano is whatever, not bad but I'm not a pianist either, but the transposition tool is really cool and I think it will help me with my music theory as well.

Damn you, you made me look on YouTube on what this thing is about.
Turns out it's a mix of Harmony Improvisator mixed with Catanya and throwing in a nice piano pack with great EZMix presets to make like 10 different versions out of it.
Now I'm more than interested.
Thing is:
Is there a community for more MID variations? I kind of hate limited bundles (as with MusicLab's RealGuitars) unless I can play it myself.

You're not "limited" to their MIDI, you can drag and drop from your Desktop a MIDI file onto EZKeys.Compyfox wrote: Is there a community for more MID variations? I kind of hate limited bundles (as with MusicLab's RealGuitars) unless I can play it myself.
I'll create a video of this later tonight but also showing what I think is a cool thing, the Randomize Chords feature.

Yeah i easily played a few riffs, imported them in and started arranging. It is an improvement on catanya in some ways, ie you can easily string together different patterns. And grabbing some midi from some examples you have laying around should be very easy. I'm actually less interested in their included content, i wanted it more for the arranger aspect.

Yeah, I'd love to see something like that. Something with lots of great, inspiring, and usefull grooves (a little more like Stylus RMX and a little less like Band-in-a-Box). We need lot's of great bread and butter grooves, too.braj wrote:I'd love to see a multi-track version, with bassline and maybe a mono lead line, all synced to the same chord changes. And while I'm dreaming, put some tools like Harmony Navigator or Harmony Improvisator in there too.

I know that MIDI Import is working, but I was actually thinking of more grooves and pattern in MIDI format.

Well, that was what I was asking for earlier. The good thing is we don't need them to come from Toontrack, we can roll them ourselves or use clips available elsewhere. So if there is some song you want to 'sample' you can find a midi file available wherever, clip out what you need, and import that. I would like something along the lines of that link I posted earlier but from a source that isn't a corrupt jokeCompyfox wrote:gabebrunogarza1021 wrote:You're not "limited" to their MIDI, you can drag and drop from your Desktop a MIDI file onto EZKeys.
