Anyone know of any alternatives to the Slice Arranger effect in Turnado ?

It's the only effect I want so it doesn't make sense for me to buy Turnado; also, it only work in 4/4 which is a bit limiting.

Basically I need a plugin or maybe a Reaktor ensemble that slices up incoming audio and reorders (etc.) it. Not in a random way each time but a reproducable way.

I tried to think, and funny but it's quite diffihttp://www.audiodamage.com/effects/product.php?pid=AD013cult, you get to think their are tons of these things, but infact, maybe that aint so.

Truthfully, if your using Ableton, then the buffer re-arranger thingy that comes bundled with Max 4 Live, would be perfect, as it does exactly what you want, without frills.

However Vst versions, well, Loomer make Sequent, which maybe helpful

Audio Damage have Replicant

And Izotope have Stutter Edit (which I have for this kind of thing)

If you own Reaktor, surely their must be something in the user library or constaints you can put on one of the multi effects it has.

Hope this helps.

If you own Reason & Recycle you can easily set up your own sequenced slicer by patching a Kong loaded with Nurse Rex.
once you have it all loaded, start by hooking the kongs individual CVs to a individual matrix sequencer.

So thats 16 Sequencers per Nurse Rex

It works quite well after you hit the random button on the matrix editor for some chaos

I just bought the Buffeater ensemble from Twisted Tools and I'm loving the Slice Repeat/Shift features, among it's other capabilities.
Twisted Tools make fantastic Reaktor ensembles.

Thanks for all the replies so far.

I'm running Cubase 6 x64 so looking for VST's.

Sequent is certainly interesting - didn't know about that one.

Ricochet doesn't have a demo so I can't comment on that one.

I can't get my head around Melda's GUI so I never go near their plugins I'm afraid !

Buffereater looks interesting - will demo that next.
