Is there any simple way to adjust the monitor level when using Sony Sound Forge Audio Studio 10? All I can seem to do to adjust the listening level is to run process and then volume and then wait for it to change the level of the audio.

There must be a way to adjust volume on-the-fly.

You could put in a volume envelope. Just remember to remove it before you render.

Or you could make the Hardware Meter visible (if SFAS has it -- I'm using SF Pro 9). That has a fader on it, and you can boost the volume a lot.

Thanks but I tried that. Perhaps I need to upgrade to Pro?

Also, is there any easy way to add the M4a codec to SFMS? Does your pro support M4A?

Whew. Dunno. You might also try Audacity, which may have something in there for you. At least it's free.

There also might be a simple gain-boosting VST, or just cranking everything on your EQ, or getting headphones with a volume control.

The M4A codec is not supported in SFP9. Dunno about SFP10.

Hey Tom, Thanks for your help. I simply want to be able to quickly and easily control the volume of my speakers. All my audio software has some provision for this except SFMS10!?!?
