I can't talk about Spectrasonics because I don't have any of their products, but Camel Audio got one of the best customer service around. Very friendly guys and quick to respond. :tu:

I really like Alchemy but to really get the most out of it you must be a good sound designer, it's a pretty complex synth. The random function can create some really good and usable sounds. I think it's a great starting place and you can tweak the sound afterward. I think the random function works with the player too!

I've been listening to Martin Walker's Steamworx whilst reading this thread and I liked what I heard so far. So, I went to the Spectrasonics site to give a listen to some Omnisphere examples and couldn't find anything other than a few videos with more talking than music. Camel Audio's website has lots of audio examples for all their products AND genuinely useful videos. Did I miss something on the Spectrasonics site? I'd like to hear examples of what has been discussed here.

I hav an album full of tracks that use nothing but Omnsiphere on my vimeo page.
It represents only a fraction of whats possible and is of course completely based on my personal taste but maybe you find something you like in there

I've been using the free player for a while but decided to make a purchase after noticing the 1.5 update.
Have to say I'm loving it!

Im wanting in no particular order Steamworx , Ian Boddy: Analogica , Dream Voices , and Shlomo Beatbox sounds next , pretty cool stuff . The browser , free sound bank, and price drop was a great idea .

+101 I recently bought it and I love it, one of the best synths

If I could have only one, I'd choose omnisphere, but I'd definately prefer to have both.

I'm with this guy. I'd rather own both. I currently have Omnisphere, and I love it, but owning Alchemy wouldn't hurt!

Alchemy cannot be the new Omnisphere cause if it was it would not import samples and it does...
