Hi,
forgive me if the A to my Q is obvious, but I couldn't figure it out: can i record the trigger-impulses KT Drumtrigger produces as a midi-file instead of triggering a vsti directly?
thank you!

Of course you can!
Put KTDrumTrigger on an audio track containing drums (or other percussive sounds).
Create a MIDI track. Set the input of the MIDI track to KTDrumTrigger (if your host supports this: see the KTDrumTrigger web pages for more details for different host programs). Set the output of the MIDI track to a VSTi or an external MIDI device.
Tweak until you get the desired result.
Record enable the MIDI track and hit record. Et voilà: the triggers should be in your MIDI track.
