Actually, I've just received a new test version with a working node editor, and it can really create some cool waveforms! It's an insanely rough version, but I think I'm still going to add it anyways so you guys can play around with it. I'll post as soon as I get it onlineSushimaster wrote:Post was from 9th of August. So, today we get a new version? =)rlahalla wrote:Should be available in the next week or two, max.
Yep, the final version will have the ability to choose bit-depth, but the samplerate will still be host-dependent.PietW. wrote:Is it in the final version of Wave designer possible to adjust the size of wave files? E.g. 16 bit, 44.1khz, or 32bit, etc.

I've just started uploading the new version (0.3.4), which includes the following changes:
- Node Editor
- Save/Load presets
- Error reporting below display
When switching between node editing and formula editing, use the drop down menu on the top right. This is an experimental version to test out the new node editor, so it's insanely rough.

If anyone tests out the node editor (albeit very rough), let me know how the waveforms come out for you. I think there needs to be some adjustments to the system, but we'll be working on this for a little while to make it work perfect.

I create a lot of Waves in Node-Editor with a length of 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048 and 4096 Samples. Works fine in Wavelab and Waveosaur and a lot of my VST-Plugs that can Import own Waves. For example Absynth (1024 Samples) perfekt.
I look forward to many new features. Great work.

Great to hear it, I plan on tossing out a pack of 100 cool waveforms I've made already with the node editing featurePietW. wrote:I create a lot of Waves in Node-Editor with a length of 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048 and 4096 Samples. Just had a look at the new node editor. Seems to work nicely and reminds me of the editor in Curve.
Anyway like in Curve something like a grid would be nice to create a kind of symmetrical waveforms. At least having a base line would be nice.
Something like a reset for the node editor would be nice too.
I found that a double click at an existing point removes it which is cool.
The number of points is nice too, in fact i did not find a limit so far. I guess stopped somewhere at 50.

Can we see those Waves for Zebra also?
Where?
Are Zebra Waves 1024 Samples?
Thanks,
Cheers

We should have those options (reset and grid) included before the final release is readyIngonator wrote:Just had a look at the new node editor. Seems to work nicely and reminds me of the editor in Curve.

Zebra need the tool "Wave2Zebra" to convert waveforms into the Zebra format. The format is in Zebra h2p. Zebra can not play waveforms.
Excellent results with Wave2Zebra when the waveform 128 Samples,16Bit. 32 Bit not Working.
best

Yeah, the bit-depth options will be available sometime soon. I wanted to focus on the node editor, multisample and export options firstPietW. wrote:Excellent results with Wave2Zebra when the waveform 128 Samples,16Bit. 32 Bit not Working.

Node editor works great. However currently either you use node editor OR you use formular editor. Would it be possible - sometime in a later version - to use formular editor AND node editor? I mean ie. create a sine wave using formular editor and later insert a few points using the node editor?

Possibly, but I don't think the opposite is possible though. I mean, creating a waveform in the node editor and having the formula editor create an approximate math formula. There are a lot of possibilities, and I'll keep an open mind as we go forwardpaulbreeze wrote:Node editor works great. However currently either you use node editor OR you use formular editor.
