Well, considering the timey-wimey of Dr. NI, I'm not thinking much about 2.0 when it's been so long since there was any update (1.8 is being advertised as the next big thing). My guess? Months and months before a 2.0 comes.

Post

Yeah, more likely Sept 2013.

Still no built in soundcard?

Thing that no one has mentioned- 1.8 is compatible, but will future versions be and for how long till NI has to break compatibity?

1 more reason to buy MKII. Plus "toys" are fun.
There's no way that the first controller will become incompatible. They are the exact same controls on both units! The only difference is that colors can be assigned on the mkII. Even the jog isn't really different because the three selectors for that knob are the same three that are currently different knobs.

yeah, the thing with maschine is the controller kinda is what it is. The software could use some real makeovers though. I'm in love with the controller I have.....I see no serious fault there. But once there is a side by side maybe that will change...

I wonder if that means no Massive 2.0 update in Komplete 9 ...

...or if this indicates an updated Massive they'll have more information about after release date?

Makes sense. Have Masssive on sale last summer, then give it away to 86,000 Maschine users. Then drop 2.0 for a fee of course. Blam! World domination.

I bought a laptop stand for my Maschine years ago for about $30 and I keep it tilted at about a 60-degree angle so I see all the lettering on the unit without having to arch my neck over my desk.
I also use a laptop stand with mine. I have just noticed though that the NI stand is mountable for stage use. I use an Apex keyboard stand for my keys - it has a boom and mic attachment (never used as I don't play live). Wonder if I could have Maschine mounted on that above my keyboards? :hihi:

The only thing this Mk2 with Massive is telling me right now is that Massive 2.0 is coming very soon.

ok if i understand... this new hardware now is 600€ ...

but if you buy the old maschine you get it for 400€ and you even get the massive synth...

so i am asking you.. is the "new maschine" worth then 200€ more?

Post

Well, old Maschine is available in black but the new Maschine is available in black and white. 200€ of white to be precise.

All kidding aside, the new version has RGB pads, new displays and 2 less knobs. Besides that everything else is the same.

Not the best news... if yoiu purchased 1 day ago the "old" Maschine :x :(

Anyway - WHAT will be - if you are Maschine user(through that you will receive with 1.8 a free Massive) but you have already a Massive license in your NI accout? Did you get than 2 licenses? Or no additonal one?
