I found this site and topic through a search. I'm not sure but it seems like this topic is the best place to post.

I've been messing with Music Studio 2.0 on the iphone and iPad. It is pretty intuitive and easy to create compositions. The only problem I have right now is I can't create what would be called a 'style'. MS2 allows you to pick an instrument an then use a customize-able chord pad to play 3 or so notes at a time. But what I want to do is create, say, and arpeggio, for that instrument, and have that automatically play in the chords pads I choose. Is there any IOS app that will allow me to do that?

Whats great with MS2 is that once I've create a beat or motif and repeat it (sequence) I can then go in an edit every note in every track, making more of an individual sound as opposed to just a repeating sequence. So if I could just build my own chord pads with my own notes, that would be great.

I think Garage Band allows like three options to how it plays chords, not just three notes at the same time, but a couple varied patterns . But I'd still like to make my own.

I have beatmaker but have not tried it yet. I can get nanostudio if that would work? Or do you know of something else? I'm guessing I'd want to find a virtual version of an arranger workstation.

I'm a singer/songwriter with guitar looking to build a backing to hone my ideas. If I can sequence something up great, but eventually having full control of each note is ideal. I'm pleased that MS2 at least allows this.

I prefer the native instruments in NanoStudio, but now that Beatmaker 2 can sequence other music apps AND paste the resulting wav files into their own tracks, I am using BM2 more.
