Is Auria worth $50?

I am looking at Auria, which is one of the more expensive APPS you can buy. Including all current in-app purchases, the price rockets to almost $200, which is almost as expensive as my current pro-level DAW.

So, I ask, is it worth $50 for the app (and you KNOW you'll be buying at least SOME of the in-app stuff).

Can it really record 24 tracks on an ipad 2 (assuming you have a 24 track input usb2 device. My largest is a FIREWIRE 16 in/out, so I cannot use that. I can only currently use my Audiobox USB 2 in/out).

Even on a 32GB ipad, how many clients/recordings can you really do (especially if you have other apps, like games, music apps, etc - they begin to add up) before you run out of space. Can you utilize the cloud for recording? That means you'd need wifi when recording - and if so, is it fast enough??? Since there is no current way to add a hard drive, thumb drive, SD card or anything else to an iPad, you are STUCK with internal memory - which WILL run out.

I LOVE the idea of the portability. However, since I own EVERY other DAW (Meteor, Multitrack, Studiotrack and Musaico), do I really need Auria? Is it that much better than all the other ones?

I really want to know since I do not want to WASTE $50 (not that I am doing it now - once my finances are a bit better I will possibly take the Auria plunge) and I know i'd at least get Drumagog - so more like $70.

I should have purchased the 64GB, but at the time it was not even available to me.

I've got it, and it takes audio on the iPad to a level of professionalism higher than any other music app on the market. I'm also finding that it works as an audio editor better than the dedicated audio editor apps. It really is a great tool! :-)

I would say yes. I use reason 6.5 on pc mainly, but this on iPad is outstanding and is great to use. Really is head and shoulders above the competition on iPad.
