Here's my new Hard Trance track using only Tal U-No lx (except drums).

Warm sound? YES! and perfect for this style! Loads of Permut8 on it too, check the comments. :)

Can I just add that I really like this plugin. And Patrick was most helpful and delivered a speedy fix when I reported a small niggle in the polyphonic note assignment. Brilliant stuff!

I totally agree. I have reported a few issues and usually this was fixed within a few hours. Amazing!!

Yesterday I renamed a patch in the patch folder. It seems, however, that the names of patches are also written into the patch code itself. So, when the file name does not match the internal name, that creates big problems when stepping through patches using the arrow keys. So, don't rename patches in the folder view, renaming patches does not work like with, say, Word files it seems. One has to use the dedicated Rename command in U-NO-LX's patch management drop-down menu, this way the name inside the patch file is also updated...

I will occasionally put patches into my Dropbox folder:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/q7d1s79jwf2hk1x/wrao7sbK5m

I am into more subtle music, thus you won't find anything crazy or loud. So far there are only 5 presets, but given the fun I have with the U-NO, there are more to come.
I hope they sound good, I program them mostly using my speakers, not my headphones, so I can't really tell what they sound like to other people

With the fretless bass using the bender and chords sounds more authentic in my view.

I highly suggest you name your folder "fluffy_little_something U-NO-LX preset bank"
or something to that effect. Take credit where credit is due.
Most of us... ok, *I* end up just dragging the folder into my preset banks location for this.

Thanks for the tip. I created such a folder, same link. I hope that was what you meant...

That's close to what I meant;
I see what you did in your dropbox.
What I see in my browser is the option in the top left of the screen, and drop-down Download menu where I have the option to save to my dropbox, or "download as .zip."

Me personally?
I'd manually put all patches in a folder on my desktop (with that personalized folder name),
then Compress it into a .zip (I'm on a Mac, it's a right-click option; I don't know how you guys make .zips on PCs).
Then upload that .zip file to your dropbox account.

That way the other person out there in the land of the internets connects to your Dropbox folder, they see that .zip file.
They download the .zip.
They expand the .zip, and... magically, the folder appears with the name, "fluffy_little...".
Then said user drags this folder in its entirety to the correct location.

This whole concept might have something to do with my alter ego, in the real world, managing data files.

I am new to Dropbox, but I don't quite get your point. What does it matter whether or not I upload my folder in zip format? Obviously you can download anything I put in my folder (regardless of the file extension I used) as a zip file. Dropbox does the zipping for you so to speak, if for whatever reason you want a zip file. So after downloading a zipped folder you have to unzip it anyway.
So why would I make additional clicks to zip a folder for no reason? That only takes the fun out of Dropbox.

As they say, don't look a gift horse in the mouth...

He means that if you first collect your patches in a folder, and then zip that folder, when the user download the zip filde and unzip it, the patches will be unziped in a consolidated folder. It's better both for you AND for the end user. He is not being ungrateful, just giving you a (I think good) advice. Thanks for sharing the patches, BTW.

Well, on Dropbox you download the folder one level above the items you see on the screen. So I see no problem with the way I had it at the beginning. When you clicked on the link, you saw the individual patches. If you clicked to download as zip, you downloaded the zip folder containing the patches. Unzipping the folder yielded the folder containing the patches.
I have no idea what else you people want...

Well, I don't like that demanding, spoiled attitude, no more sharing as far as I am concerned :P
