hmm,it cannot be written better...Shy wrote:The "wow, every time, it ruins the good balance of everything that I've achieved up until now" effect never wears off. Unsurprising, though, just like with other plugins of the same type.dalor wrote:I'm wondering if this wow effect when hearing it for the first time eventually wears off and then it's just an unused plugin sitting there. Anyone here a long term user of it?

It's not new is it?peterdh wrote:Hi all,
Anyone tested the new Vitalizer MK2-T plug-in of SPL? I own a hardware Vitalizer Jack, which I like, but I would love to go native. The problem is I can't test the plug-in because you need an ILok dongle.
By the way, can anyone recommend me some alternatives for this plug-in?
Thank you for your time.
I like it a lot. Can warm things up, widen stereo image, boost and tighten bass, it's an apt name for such a plugin. I prefer it to Ozone for some things (less CPU intense, snappier load time).

Normally like in any other plugin in your host.cyphersuit wrote:how can i access them? thanks!PeterL wrote:No. Vitalizer mkII comes with 19 presets.cyphersuit wrote:is it correct that it comes with no preset? or did i mess up installation?
Presets were installed here by default,
but I can only tell from my side here.
I use latest PC version 1.4.2 of plugin.
I never used any preset, because plugin is so easy to setup:
DRIVE and PROCESS to max at first to find the sweet spot with MID-HI TUNE.
If sweet spot found turn PROCESS back to your taste (about 10).
Turn DRIVE back if you don't want tube color.
For other knobs use your ears:
Turn them up, if it hurts turn them down
Important: Don't overdo it !

+1, presets are a bit silly with this onePeterL wrote:Normally like in any other plugin in your host.cyphersuit wrote:how can i access them? thanks!PeterL wrote:No. Vitalizer mkII comes with 19 presets.cyphersuit wrote:is it correct that it comes with no preset? or did i mess up installation?

Take 5 minutes to read the docs, and you'll be good to go.
My workflow is different however, as I find the maximum settings way too aggressive. I adjust from the default init preset where there is no effect and process and intensity are both at 0.

I agree, presets for this one are silly. It still bothers me, that in my host there are none.

I've had that problem in Studio One 2 with other plugins. You can import them, but it's annoying.cyphersuit wrote:I agree, presets for this one are silly. It still bothers me, that in my host there are none.

Their support was quick to answer: it must be the fault of the daw, as they haven't tested much in studio one.Ah Xoc Kin wrote:I've had that problem in Studio One 2 with other plugins. It is not new, but fairly recently SPL joined the Plugin Alliance and is now available without an iLok requirement. Plugin Alliance also just opened their doors to discount dealers like Waves Universe discount plugins, so prices are better: SPL Viatlizer MK2-Tgrymmjack wrote:It's not new is it?
