I got roland mc-307 groovebox .it's a good machine, but it has some annoying features such as too much menu driving and filter/resonance is not the best, also it's impossible to play with lfo on drums :(. I am looking for some software that can help me modelling my patches on 307 in real time via midi.I got soundquest editor for my 307, but I am not impressed.any suggestions?

Check out FXpansion Geist:

It's a sampler and sequencer. MIDI control of all parameters. Very powerful. No synth module though.

Andy.

if I understand what you're after, this seems like the obvious choice. It actually sounds pretty decent too.

Have you ever check Usine ( www.sensomusic.com)..?

You can create all midi routing /modulation you need and create your own graphic interface. Once it's done you can even save this as a vst to use in an other DAW

I'll check it out.thanks for reply!

it's half baked and it's from Image-Line...
they don't care too much about it - they don't answer questions and they don't care for feature requests - and they refuse to allow license transfers ( against recent EU law verdicts ).
You IL basher, you..... :hihi:

Geist is a fine one.... :)

Sample your patches and manipulate them in a sampler.

+1

Computer Music Issue 181 had a light edition on the cover a few months back with an offer to upgrade it to the full version for £80. Was trying to convince myself to pull the trigger on buying this for months and that made me do it... absolutely love it.

Geist is the Gold standard really.
It is no.1 in stability.
Sound Library - the finest in existence.
Customer support - huh - who needs it with tech like this?
Good looks - it's so handsome, I sometimes reflect it in the mirror.

Though I must say, I'm a bit biased, I haven't checked any others.
But I like it.
