I compared a number of peaks in a piece of music between 20/20K in the Melda vs. SPAN 2 and they were pretty much identical.
Exactly! I don't think so! At the end you will most probably convert it to 44k anyway and a good converter will remove everything above 22k, so it doesn't really matter. And even if it would get there, it won't be audible in any reasonable sound systems and even if it would :), then only the dogs would hear it, and it would scare the batman off :D...
A reasonable trouble would be if you'd use some software, which would alias those frequencies, but I don't see how you could do that with a reasonable SW.

Well, if he was able to "freak out" the MMultiAnalyzer it might be good to know why. He claimed it was mislabeling peaks in some cases. Maybe he will come back and shed some more light on exactly what conditions that came in, and if it can even be reproduced. You also have a non-aliasing tone generator so maybe that should be used to conduct more tests. Otherwise, I'm going to disregard the warning he gave. I'm getting very good results using the analyzer in real-world applications so far.

Thank you!
Renaming will be done, but not eq, as it would be, well, a little inappropriate for an analyzer. And I have some bigger plans :D.

Vojtech,

As discussed in this thread

http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=359163

it's not "inappropriate", at least insofar as such there are some products which already do it.

It might not be something you want to develeop -- fair enough, your call -- but that's a different story.

Of course the thing is no inappropriate, but this one is analyzer! :)

does the deharmonization change the sound?

Of course not, the analyzer does not change the sound at all, it just provides features that change the analysis.
