This week I implemented a new filter topology + bunch of "analog modeling" stuff for 2.0. Here's a sound clip of the new filter in low pass mode:

No effects, no unison. Just basic high quality subsynth sound.

My Norton didn't make a peep. Said it;s safe (and it fried about Xils Poly KB)
PS: The synth demo sounds like heaven. Can't wait to try it. Thanks for the Steel skin and the 64 bits.

Post

Wow! That sounds great mr. Bungle!!

Now tell me, is that a rendered or a picture of a real synth? :P And are the knobs (and switches?!) motorized :D

I tried to like it but I just can't relate to the workflow.

I can't get my head around the unlabeled knobs... I know it's me but I hope there will be alternative skins with more labels in the future.

Back to Charlatan and Tal U-no for me.

Have you tried both skins? the first one was a bit hard on my head, the second one a little easier. Once you get a hang of it, the logic is pristine clear :)

Im sure 2.0 will be a little easier on the user :D

The steel skin is nice but I keep having problems what the unlabeled knobx are for. Can someone explain the workflow again?

Post

+1 unlabeled knobs... Please explain. Please label.

Amazing synth though, absolutely amazing.

Post

I could very easily do an update for the steel skin but I dont know exactly what the knobs should say either.. ;)
If I find out, i'll try and do an update.

but, it looks like the V2 skin above will make it irrelevant. ;)

Take the lfo for example. Follow it's path up and it will modulate whatever is on the side. First up left is Osc2 pulse width (i think, i don't have the daw running). Then pitch, then osc1 pulse width and pitch. Finally at top you modulate the filter.

Post

It's confusing and I would prefer a modulation matrix with more choices, if that's possible, please.

I have a few more questions about mausynth, should I start a new topic on that or should we discuss everything here?

I don't know how may of us wants to wade through 15 pages to find some answers.

That sounds great! The 3d render looks cool too.........:)

Is it my imagination or does the Invert Filter EG not work? Doesn't seem possible to shut down the Cutoff for punchy bass sounds......unless I'm missing something.

for some unknown reason , this vst does not show up in my host ( renoise , reaper )
The dll file is in it appropriate folder , using win xp sp3 .
Does the plug require some other progr.that I am unaware of ?
Doesn it require the windows .net frame work ?

This could be because of some SSE instructions that are not supported by your configuration. I'll make a special build for old configurations when I release the next version of MauSynth.

DotNet framework is not needed, but Visual C++ 2010 runtime is required.

I guess it's up to you guys. Maybe I should ask for a developer forum? Also, you can always PM me.
