Already plundered Synth Magic site for bargains. Those Kontakt libraries are way underpriced, just got the Zed 80 V2 library this past weekend.

I guess I'm falling in a GAS trap of hoarding cheap gear

One can pick up Beat work-zone 2-12 for €10 which comes with XILS 3 BE plus a lot of other nice plugs and samples.

Alpha-Ray is free but without the FX panel. You have to pay €4.95 to unlock the FX. It's pretty good synth.

Worth a mention. In another thread, there is a discussion about the free synth downloads made available by Computer Music this past month. You need to subscribe to the electronic version - but you can even subscribe for a single issue ( ~ $ 4.00 ). I did just that - and picked up CM Studio, which is packed with dozens of synths. Some (ZebraCM comes to mind) are fantastic. In addition to these, the 182 issue has the Alchemy player, and several other plug-ins.

Mentioning -- as many of the titles in the downloads you get, are not freeware, but paid-for versions..
