When Wolfgang Palm called on me to be a part of his newest project I cleared my calendar without hesitation. Soon he introduced me to his vision, the next generation synth -The PPG WaveGenerator.
This next generation PPG has the original PPG wave models but it also allows you, to create your own wavetables. Using my own wavetable, 'supertable' I created the program 'Invader ZIMmer'. There are no effects and no sequencer used here, this is a rich textured cinematic arpeggiated program - right out of the factory bank. And it was recorded straight from the ipad headphone jack.
This was not the first project that I worked on with Wolfgang Palm, and have once again learned so much from this 'master of synths'. It has been an honor to be a part of such an innovative project and an incredible part of PPG history.

Oh yeah this PPG is no toy, it's a very deep synth. Tons of fun to program.

You mean the "next generation PPG synth" is an app for iPad? Really? No synth for the "real" world, like VST?nutekk wrote:When Wolfgang Palm called on me to be a part of his newest project I cleared my calendar without hesitation. Yeah, it looks quite well, just above the Blossom, the Bubbles and the Buttercupnutekk wrote:fmr wrote:You mean the "next generation PPG synth" is an app for iPad? Really? No synth for the "real" world, like VST?you are being funny, aren't you?
If this is the next generation, we are really doomed.

---I sure hope so, I don't quite understand the relationship Apple has with the app developers. When someone develops an app does Apple put the app through some kind of testing to make sure it works or performs as advertised and if so how are they qualified to do this?

Well i can think of all types of things they would have to check for. I think they are qualified to know what their hardware can and can not do. It may be a bit frustrating to wait, but it is most likely better for the platform that they set standards rather then it being a free for all.Scott Murrell wrote:---I sure hope so, I don't quite understand the relationship Apple has with the app developers.
