Does anyone really know how iCloud works?

The best part about them is that theyre stand up people. If you trade in during a busy trade in time, like right when the new stuff comes out, it may take a little longer for your credit, just so you know. Good luck!

Thanks again for letting me know about this place! I've got it marked, and when the next generation iPad comes out, I'll know where to begin my search!

Here's something you can try: go into the General settings menu and select "Usage" and then then show the usage for all installed apps. You'd be AMAZED at which apps are chewing up all your space.
DropBox for example, which I thought to be entirely cloud-based, was using up 1.6GB of space on my iPad: and I didn't have ANY files favorited (i.e. saved to my device). So I don't know if it had just cached that many files, or what. I tried deleting a ton of files, but that number never changed -- until I deleted the DropBox app and re-installed it. I suspect I'll need to do that every few months from now on.
Even games which the App Store says take up 100MB or so can be using up 400MB of space on your device. I don't know if that's because the 100MB represents a compressed install or what.
But, yeah: Settings->General->Usage-> and then show the usage for all apps. You'd be surprised (and not in a good way).

You are VERY correct. I will do some housekeeping and see if that helps.DrApostropheX wrote:Karmacomposer wrote: As stated previously, I have NO MUSIC, PICTURES or VIDEOS on the device. I had done this once before and it cleared off many GB of space. Thanks for the reminder.
