Hi everyone, I am going to enter the challenge for the fist time and wondered if people had some useful tips. Not so much about what to write as I already have an idea but more about the process and approaches. For example I see by the rules that you cannot add features once the plugin goes live, which is fair enough, but how strict is this, I mean if you just add a button for a feature not yet written you could pass it off as a bug...
Also the restriction on beta testing is a pain, if you cannot get others to test the plugin there are bound to be a lot of bugs and problems running on different systems. Can we at least beta check each others?
Thanks for any tips

OK that sounds better. Do I need to add my product right away to the database or hold off?

I registered my plugin directly, just to make sure that I have a placeholder plugin in the database to finish the description for once my plugin is done, should I forget to do it at a latter stage. I tend to forget stuff now and then...

mmmh I planned to do the same in days, but I'm not familiar with the new DEV account system, I guess nobody relly upload the file until the DC starts, I mean you just indicate the future link for download? I'm puzzled...jobromedia wrote:I registered my plugin directly, just to make sure that I have a placeholder plugin in the database to finish the description for once my plugin is done, should I forget to do it at a latter stage.
