CrX4 bug

Bug: I'm having a lot of problems with clicking in Mono Glide mode (Held). It's basically unusable. I've imported a sample. When the connecting note that causes the glide begins, I immediately get a significant click. It happens every time.
Most important feature request: Additional smoothing algorithm(s) for looping (gain-compensating crossover) so the volume at the loop transition point doesn't drop so much.
Secondary feature request: Inverted Keytracking (filter higher notes instead of lower notes)
I love the interface. So easy to use!

Hi AlienImplant.
Clicks : I never have one click in Glide / Held / mono.
(LoopSampler, TimeSampler and Wavetable).
Can you precise your context ?
Smoothing : If your sample attacks hard and decreases sharply
(like a guitar sample), it would be better to rebalance its amplitudes
in a sample editor. Then, plan to loop not too wide (if the harmonic content is very different between loop start and loop end points, the better crossfading system is unable to "erase" without tranform
your initial sound by a total remix.
Tracking reverse : if you want to play drums,
2 or 3 negative "Note Lin" in the matrix does the job.
>> Peter, a total reset in the matrix (for Christmas ... Thank you)

Clicks: I'll upload a screen shot of my settings tonight.
Smoothing: Your answer puzzles me. My loop points are at positions where there is no significant drop in volume near by. Sure, the end is a louder than the beginning, but that is not the problem. The issue is that the gain during the smoothing transition drops far below even the lowest section of the loop. I have set a short smoothing setting, which helps but the dip is still noticeable. The harmonic content doesn't change that much. My request is an alternative in the curves of the crossover available, similar to how the EXS24 does with its Equal Power setting. A slider or knob controlling the x-fade would be my number one choice, but I've never seen anything that powerful in any sampler. Usually, it's just 2 or 3 x-fade options.
Inverse Key Tracking: My source is not drums. My source is a pitched melodic sample. My desire is to have upper notes close the filter more and more and lower notes open it up. This is just a request, certainly not a demand. :]

Glide Click Bug:
Audio File Example: http://alienimplant.com/z/CrX4-bounce.mp3
Please note that in the audio file, not even half the sample has played. It's less than half the length of the sample. Messing with the ADSR attack doesn't help either.

Click: I listened to your MP3 player, well looked your settings...
I can not reproduce your problem in my CRX4, everything works fine.

Hmmm, I certainly can. Where do we go from here? How can I help? I'm an advanced Mac user and can provide any feedback you need to trace the issue.

I check that too soon; maybe its platform specific, our Mac guru is on vacation this week, so maybe we need a few days more, but we will get back on this. Thanks for your patience

Can you direct message me with a real email address? I can send you my exact settings and the source file. That should replicate the issue for you.

Just choose "Init" from the Edit menu of the matrix, or are you looking for something different ?Philippe Favré wrote: >> Peter, a total reset in the matrix (for Christmas ... Thank you)![]()

Peter I beg your pardon: where I had my eyes?
The pop-up of the matrix contains of course all that is necessary
to be satisfied. Thank you for this!
