This was written at the end of the article posted in the OP:fmr wrote:I don't get how can this be an emulation of the Synclavier. AFAIK, the Synclavier was able to do FM, additive, sampling and resynthesis. Don't know about filters and/or envelopes. Does anyone know how can the simple UVI Workstation emulate all these synthesis techniques?

Besides that the design of the knobs and the Terminal are exactly like the ones in the Synclavier.
I had purchased the Enhus Synclavier FM Kontakt library a while ago which is awesome IMO: http://enhus.com/
One of the most expensive Kontakt libraries i got so far. It uses no scripts so you get mostly the pure samples. Some samples/presets using the Resynthesis engine are included too.
UVI THe Beast looks quite interesting but as soon as i don't purchase an iLok key it would make no sense to get it.
One of the best FM soundbanks IMO is the "Gloss Spells" for FM8 made by Lotuzia: http://www.lelotusbleu.fr/catalog/produ ... ucts_id=91
Another awesome one is the FS1R library from Hollow Sun:

For additive synthesis i got Cameleon 5000 and Alchemy but for programming from scratch it's not really easier than doing FM synthesis IMO.
