Magellan is great!! Except that I get audio overload (volume) way too quickly... (and that's with only using 1 of the 2 synths)

I also was impressed by the videos but not overwhelmed after download. By now I found some sounds I really like, but for me it is harder to get something out of it than with Cassini, Sunrizer, WaveGenerator or Animoog. The filters seem to be quite picky (with settings), and the GUI is not easy to use IMHO (selecting a waveform with this hardware emulation nonsense, etc.)JavaJ wrote:Boy, I fell for all the praise, but was not overwhelmed. Is it me or does midi sustain not work. I plugged into my keyboard to try layering stuff and sustain didn't work - yet works fine in other apps. maybe a bug?
Beyond that, just felt the sound was flat, so I will need to spend more time with it. Maybe I am getting jaded with all the synth apps.
It is quite of cool that all those little iPad synth have their specific sounds. Although, for the money it is quite great.
Funnily, lately I get more and more disappointed with soft-synths (VSTis). Besides the upper galore (Zebra, Diva, etc.) they do not offer much more and are less direct to use.
