Hey guys, I started learning about music from about 3 years ago, and I'm working with FL Studio for about 30 months, I also know how to use Ableton Live but I prefer FL Studio because I'm much more comfortable and faster with it.
Anyways, I've been making songs lately that sounded great to me, But I donno if a song sounds great to me would sound great to other people.
So, I was looking for some semi-professionals to listen to my song and give me their opinions, So I can improve myself.
But sadly where I come from, People doesn't like western music, And are not familiar with it...
So, What do I do?, I can't improve if I'm the only one that is listening to my music and giving my opinions on it.
Can I post my song here and get opinions on it?
So far, I 've been involved only with House music.
Sorry it's my first post, And I've gone without introduction, But I'm not here for just asking a question and leaving, I'll be here often and try to learn and contribute in the future.

welcome to kvr, as deb says, post in the cafe.
direct links if you have a website or join up at somewhere like soundcloud.
aside from commenting on the music of others, if you are looking for any particular critiques of your tracks make sure to request this in your post as many people here are a too polite to criticise unless its requested.
i personally dont know much about house music, more of a casual listener to such things, but there are many people here who are more at home with house music and similar styles, so hopefully they will give more input
also, maybe you could tag your post title with "house music" to encourage more people of that ilk to enter
i wish you luck and again, welcome

advice as in feedback?
One of my favorite artists was talking in a seminar once about how he gets feedback for something he works on. Basically, he goes to three people of three different categories. First is the "Noob" (someone who isn't knowledgeable about making music). Second is someone who knows about making music, but of a different genre. Third would be someone familiar with and makes the same kind of stuff you do.
So you end up getting three different shades of feedback. Forumgoers can be pretty harsh and elitist, plus you may not know their credibility. The more involved people you know IRL, the better.

Post it in the Music Cafe
Don't forget to make it as easy as possible that others can listen to the song. No file sharing crap where people must fill captchas, wait some minutes and stuff.
Direct link if you have some webspace where the track is available or open a free Soundcloud account and than past the link for this song in a post (the forum will automatically embed the Soundcloud player).

Do you have the same name on SoundCloud?
Post it somewhere!
My quick thoughts;
Imo, you have a good ear for the progression of the track arrangement as a whole, but maybe could work on progression the sounds/patterns themselves to keep it interesting.
The track could use some sub to fatten it up. The dub break is interesting with all the modulation, but it needs some sub in it to feel dubby.
Unless that is not you and then nevermind.

Thanks, Well I will upload it in SoundCloud then put it's link in Music Cafe, That shouldn't be problem. The song is finished and it sounds good to me right now, But I still want play with it more and make it my best to get the best out of the advises and opinions when I post it.
, Well, I made that song about 2-3 months ago, And still didn't had much ideas, Specially in mixing and mastering, But still your advise is helpful as I also feel that I'm not working much on progressing the Patterns themselves, And I consider that in my new songs. Thanks.
Yeah that was mehighkoo wrote:Do you have the same name on SoundCloud?
