have you heard how much better the Drop sounds compared to all the other filter plugins and filters on every virtual synth in the market?

I'd say yes because it's not just another filter plugin but THE filter plugin
I love music but more than that, I love making it

Yep. I say that at least partly because I'm hoping Andy will then turn around and put his excellent new filter code into some new synths.

(I may have already expressed that sentiment in this thread at some point, but I don't feel like re-reading it to see if I'm being redundant, LOL.)

News: The Drop will be available to buy as a public beta on Friday 12th October for USD 99, with existing owners of The Glue receiving a 30% discount. Everyone buying The Drop while in beta is a full customer and entitled to all updates for free.

I have decided to only include the SallenKey (efficient) and SallenKeyMS2 (MS20 rev2 emulation) to start with, and I'll add the other circuits once I've had more of a chance to optimise them, since even the most efficient Sallen Key 2 pole model is around 9% cpu of a single core at 44.1 khz.

I've just finalised the analog modelled AHR envelopes / followers. They can be triggered from midi, or a manual host parameter automation, or from the main audio input or sidechain audio input, it's the same envelope under the hood, so you get the same wonderfully expressive dynamics no matter what you use to trigger them. I'll post a cool demo of them in action both wobbling the cutoff and doing gating and ducking effects on the amplitude.

Great news Andy! I look forward to October 12th, when I'll be placing a pre-order for The Drop. I'm glad it's just about here.

yesss awesome, the worst thing is waiting and not knowing when but now that we know when, the waiting is not so bad

p.s. Any shots on the GUI Andy, so that maybe we can give some feedback or do you have people doing that for you already?

I only have sketches of the GUI at the moment, but I'll post mockup renders as I make them so people can check them out and provide feedback. Some of the design decisions and controls won't make complete sense until you use it, but it should be pretty straight forward to see what is going on.
