Based on that i'm not sure if i will really need it. Personally i would have preferred a proper SH emulation like TAL-U-NO-LX did with the Juno-60.
Then it will be maybe up to TAL to build a proper SH-101 emulation maybe (besides TAL Bassline)...

All I want is a cracking 101 emulation. I do suspect (and hope) this will have some sort of "basic" functionality to allow just that

At first glance, it looks like the "basic" functionality you're looking for is just not using the extra features. No reason you have to use all 8 layers and the supersaw, etc.

Hm...sound demo is impressive (to me). Most special thing is...that thankfully there is no dubstep demo there (at least i didn't found it when listening several examples LOL) :P

Looking forward to demo this thing..

the older demos convince me that it will be a good emulation and i have had my 101 for like 12 years.. i warmly welcome any modifications or additional features - the old 101 is like a giant 9 pound VCO in some ways.. i had mine modded to accept CV in for filter freq, but still it is limited.. i wanted to do LFO > CV > filter but, even that was impossible at the time..

Some nice sonic character in some of the audio demos...

what sort of copy protection do they use?

Simple Key-file, ask for it when loaded, otherwise runs in demo mode...(I think)...

I've been wating for this synth for a long long time.......The GUI is freaking beautiful and the architecture is stunning. Really looking forward to the relase....... :tu:

Their Phoscyon plugin is a 303 at default settings so I assume Lush will be equal to a SH-101 at default settings.

I for one would be glad for a 101 with a couple envelopes and lfo's. The original was quite limited but great sounding. I'm not convinced from the demos that this will sound like the real thing, although I'm sure it's a nice soft synth in it's own right. Arp looks decent, though it could really velocity per step.

I think it would be cool if TAL redid their 101 in the same manner they redid their juno, that would be interesting. The closest I've come to a 101 sound in software is just using the 101 soundsources in Trilian. A 101 is such a simple architecture that getting the oscs right is the important part I think to get those nice fat simple sounds like in this video:

I am happy that some developers like TAL focus on real authentic emulations like U-NO-LX without tons of extra features.
+1000 and especially the TAL focus part. I don't need millions of features and 8 layers, i just need authentic sound. That's just me though ;) And of course I need those damned 0dfb filters too!!! With loads of oversampling. I hope this includes those ...
circuit modeling and 0-dfb filters are cool

The first idea I had "oh, a SH clone.. hmm.. I don't need it". But the gui and the description says a bit different things. More features, more a modern VA (maybe with some ideas from the Roland SH?). Could be a interesting little beast!
But yes... let's wait if they have something released ;)
you stay with your Oxium! :P :uhuhuh:
Hehe. I think Oxium was only a test by Xavier if people find the mistake :P
The audio demos are different, remembers me more to good quality digital VA. It doesn't sound analog to me, comparable eventually more with Tone2 Saurus.
:o

Whatever test it was, Oxium passed it, and is mainly a full success of a Next Gen VA with neverseen and musical features.

As for the SH there are very few multitimbral VAs. I'm just aware of 'another one' 8)

Good luck to them
