I wouldn't exactly call the old HW analogue synths crap, ok there were some bad ones but most of them sound deliciously good to me. But if you prefer the modern VA digital sound (which is perfectly ok, we all have our preferences) then you already have a lot of options for that.
So what I don't understand is that why are you looking forward to this synth, while you can attain the 'new' sounds you like with the sofsynths that are already available for a long time. There's abundance of plug-in synths with generic VA sound and tons of features. You are happy with that sound so ...

So you obviously have no interest in piano, guitar, drums, etc...
Oh come on be serious...is that the best you can do?
Didn't need better :hihi:

It's true for me......it's a piece of crap.....sorry if you or anyone else disagrees but I care not....
ZenPunkHippy wrote:Anyway, I'm well looking forward to LuSH-101 regardless of how close the emulation is. D-16 plugins are great.
Now this part I can agree with and is basically what I said earlier.......

But anyone looking at this as an emulation of some ancient piece of crap err.... I mean "classic" is missing the point all together or hasn't bothered to look at the gui for more than 10 seconds......

But enough talk, bring this bad boy on........ :hyper:

But it's the combination of new + old that is going to give us this (hopefully!!) kick as software synth. You can't have one without the other ;)

Peace,
Andy.

How could you not look forward to this synth? If you want to dumb it down to making 1 Osc saw bass sounds then fine.....it's like driving a Ferrari at 30 miles per hour........but if that excites you then pull over and let the rest of us pass...... :hihi:

If you don't see that the potential of this plugin goes way beyond a simple mono bass then you're not paying attention. I don't care one bit if it sounds accurate and in fact it would be better to me if it didn't. I just want it to sound good and I am 100% confident that it will....bring it on.

Like I said above if you want to limit it to mono saw bass sounds then more power to you. I have other plans for this beast.......providing of course it doesn't melt my CPU and judging by the recommended specs that's a real possibility.....

OK I'll leave this thread to the hardware freaks and the Oxium Spam Machine.........let's just wait until it's released and we'll see what happens..... :wheee:

The thing about the SH-101 is that it has one thing going for - its sound - and everything else about it is pretty uninteresting. D16 seems to have retained the sound quality and added some really important features to it, making something that I think we can all agree on. :)

I agree I'd love to see TAL make a straight SH-101 update to their Bassline that was 100% SH-101. It was my first real synth and maybe I'm just nostaligiac and maybe a lot cheap, but I would prefer a stripped-down version myself that cost a lot less than this likely will. But it definitely looks interesting, though if you are going to ape the SH at least get a proper Roland bender on there :) And a strap on one too while you're at it as an easter egg :D

The demos sound great, I love the look of it too.

Seems like a pretty nice synth, I wonder how much it will be?

I don't care one bit about 'authentic' sound...I want millions of features and 8 layers..... :P
Good for you :) Then you must've been happy for a long time with the softsynths already available... Don't think you even need this one really...

You leave my SH-101 alone!!!!! You beast!!! Hmmmmph.... :x :x :x :x

I remember when they "leaked" this project... I'd forgotten about it 'til I got the e-mail yesterday.

Yep, and I have no idea what people are hearing in the demos - flat and boring to me.
