Bram - received noticed you have got my song now. Is it okay if Bluedad removes it from his site - or should it be kept there till contest has closed?

Ah, good that you say that. I'll try and see how far I get and what I can do about it (won't be for the near future though...)VitaminD wrote:i wish that drum trigger would work in orion plat.. says it needs a mono channel.. everything appears to be stereo in 4.1*pouts*

yeah.. let me rephrase that quote though..
what i meant was... orion complains that im trying to put a mono channel fx (drumtrigger) into a stereo plugin.
so if the drumtrigger could load as a stereo plugin (even if it was dual mono) then that would be OK.

VitaminD - try putting Drum Trigger in Master Section of OPlat, and then just take 'M' off the mixer if you want a direct insert? Think that's how I got around it?
I did make Drum Trigger work once in Orion, I swear!

I'm curious:
Aside from RezSynth, are there *ANY* smartelectronix VSTi elements that work for mac?
I've started my work froma strictly sampled plugin noise standpoint, pressing my musique concrete skills to the limit regarding synth creation. I have also looked a few times through the links at the SE mainsite, but am hoping I missed something.
I'm in OSX.
I am using soundhack to spectrally manipulate my samples, and twerk's max software to manipulate some sequencing elements - but without any additional plugins being used (i.e. I'm not using the FFT filter or Plugin options in this software). I'm then loading this into Cubase to be arranged as audio chunks and "live" samples in NI Battery *like* players(linplug's rmiv).
Last question: I shouldn't use any of the bitcrushing effects or filters in my sample player to stay consistent with these rules, right? I only ask because the rules state that "You can use basic tools like a sampler to play back the sounds, loop them, ... " but the use of ellipses leaves the door open to other options by definition.

i would assume that if your sampler has a filter your allowed to used it.

I should probably add, my use of soundhack's manipulative abilities is LIMITED to solely the Spetral Vocode, Spectral Compressor and Varispeed.
SV operates within the time or pitch domains, it's not a traditional vocoder (FFT based timestretcher). SC, which I honestly haven't used, is basically an advanced EQ-compressor (in a sense) and Varispeed just allows you to draw an envelop for speed/pitch modulations overtime.
I'm not allowing myself to use the convolution or mutation elements, not that mutating noise against noise would sound worthwhile anyhow (probably just make a mushy, low volume, mess with no highs).
