I like it a lot, it looks and sounds awesome!

I have too many synths already and do not really need it, but I definitely want it, can't wait to see it released.

Would anyone have any rough idea as to what sort of price range will be?

Thanks,

Indeed. Just looking at that GUI, without even listening to sound demo's makes me want it. :help:

The moderators sure have let things slip around here of late.
I remember the time when people were banned for lightheartedly threatening to spam another members email address, now we have vested interest parties hocking their goods all over the place. ;)
Thank goodness, since the site is full of pop ups etc... I don't use it much as a resource anymore.

"Anyway this thread is not about Oxium it's about luSH101 and unlike Oxium I will certainly be purchasing luSH101 the moment it is released"

Funny what shill, geurilla marketing can do to ones wallet, especially when so obtuse as seen here. I'd never buy one of 'his' products either.

Had a few 101s in my time and probably wouldn't find much use for a straight vsti replica in my music these days, BUT, never say never.
It does look and sound lovely.
Not sure if my cash will stay snug inside the purse after a play with the demo.

That's a good point, I think you're going to be right.

Sounds lovely. I wonder how it holds up against TAL Bassline.

You said the tech "just isn't quite there yet" and I'm pointing out the Minimax to demonstrate that the tech has existed for the past 10 years.
I still to this day don't understand the hype of the minimax. To my ears it was not even remotely close to a real minimoog.. or then it just wasn't close to any minimoogs I've tried.

Oh and the shop that sold the hardware minimax slab had two REAL minimoogs next to it (at the peak of the ebay/2nd hand minimoog boom about 6-7 years ago) so of course everybody compared it directly, side by side. Didn't meet a single person who thought the minimax sounded like the minimoog. Especially at full resonance it just fell completely apart.. not to mention that you couldn't get any of the phat tones like on the real thing with that feedback routing trick (low out to ext. in) at the back.

I was really perplexed back then when everybody was hyping up minimax and I'm still perplexed today. It's one of the very few things that always makes me go "are you not hearing what I'm hearing?! One of us is deaf!". :)

The other was the original UA 1176 vs the real thing. People kept insisting it sounded _exactly_ like a real 1176 and I just got that same feeling again. Even worse, most people had a real 1176 of some revision in their rack and they STILL insisted it sounded just like the UA one. :nutter:

Cheers!

Yeah, I feel the same way. I've listened to dozens of Scope audio examples and while I didn't have the hardware it was supposedly emulating, it never blew me away. When I got my ATC-1, it was after hearing it in a demo by livingsounds and it blew me away. A quick trip to their site produced a lot of demo tracks that made me fall instantly in love with it. Got one (paid $500 USD with the Moog filter) and it was everything I expected. I wish I had the dough for a CODE.

On the other hand... the Scope stuff... I'm not hearing it either. I don't think it sounds bad, but it doesn't give me that, "Oh, how much is one of those?" moments and when I find out I think, "Who'd pay that for that?" So I guess Plugiator or whatever will run it... I'm not sure what that format actually is, but even so it seems like it would still be a good chunk of cash when you bought the software too. What... like $700? I got my ATC-x QFS used for $800 and it's the real deal.

I'm still skeptical. If this Plugiator is everything you say it is, I'll sell my Nord Lead 2x as I like the concept and flexibility. But I'm not hearing it.

Plugiator's VST's have alot of issues regarding the UI or completely not working in alot of hosts(I tried with demo's), been told the VST's are only flawless in Reaper, they do however work with Cubase 5.1(not 5.5) with issues(below), I think they may work again with 6.5 but I haven't installed the Cubase 6.5 demo as yet.

In Cubase, you cannot save a project with the VST open, well you can, but when you reload the project you may get a high pitched scream coming from the VST channel(That is supposed to be silent), the workaround is to remove the plugin and link that midi direct to the Plugiator once you have finished your sound design etc and using the notepad to say what Synth in plugiator and what preset, i.e. Pro-12, p67. Also you can get this high pitched scream if you close say Pro-12 and open Minimax whilst in the same session, you can go into the mixer and mute it to get rid of this unwanted sound too, the high pitched scream of the VST's are awefull when they happen. So basically never save your project with any Plugiator VST's in use - if you want to keep your ears safe when reloading project. This is my Cubase experiance. Apart from that it all works fine, VST auto updates paramenters when changing presets either on the VST or hardware.

The standalone editor I could not get my head around, so do not use it at all!

Also the development of Plugiator is no more, he will not ever bug fix these VST's, I've asked him. :-o

The sound is actually quite analog sounding, well, so I thought until I bought a Roland Alpha Juno and a Mopho! :hihi: So close but no cigar!

Also the output volume is very low, I run the audio through my Novation Ultranova to boost the volume!

I paid £100 for mine secondhand, but I wouldn't pay more knowing the issues and lack of development, i.e. it's been abandoned! :(

There's no format, it's a hardware synth. There are VST editors for it but it can be used without them. It's $381.65 including the Minimax, B4000, Vocoder, and Lightwave, and it'd cost another $100 if you want to add the Pro-12 and Prodyssey.
