No, I was busy planning an addition to our house.
I wouldn't have gotten it anyway because I don't do facebook.
Definitely cool of them to offer the freebie though. I really like the ARP2600v and CS80v that I have.

I wasn't aware that there was another option. I'm late to the game anyway.Teksonik wrote:

There is also the fact that I'm not a big fan of Moog synths, let alone emulations of Moog synths. It's just not a sound I'm that into.

Lots... most, if not all. I don't dislike Moog synths, I've just never felt compelled to own one. I preferred my SH-2 to any of the Minimoogs I've ever used. I'd like a Mono/Poly or Arp2600 but Moog synths in general (I've used a Rouge, Source, Realistic MG-1, Sonic Six, Mini, Multi, Voyager and Phatty but never a Poly, Memory, or Modular) just don't speak to me.
Subtractive monosynths aren't my favorite thing in general. I primarily use a Eurorack modular, V-Synth, U-He's Bazille, Zebra and a DSI Evolver. Synth with lots of modulation, FM, sample playback, you know nerdy shit.
I also have a fetish for old Casiotone keyboards.
It's all good I guess. I just don't prefer Moog synths.

Amazing synth! One of the largest collection of presets I've ever seen. I'm a happy camper. I think it would take at least a year to properly demo all of the presets I was able to find.
Overall sound quality is nice, and the softer sounds have a creamy texture to them. I compared some of the sounds to other synths I own, and they held up very well. Arturia did a fine job on this one!

...it's even polyphonic unlike the original Moog. Yay.

I got it and loved the overall sound. Also liked the fact it runs as a standalone too for those times I just want a quick play without waiting for my seqencer to load. Didn't quite understand the Unison in Poly mode, but that's tiny gripe.
It certainly got me interested in getting the full version.
