Pianoteq 4 - oh wow!

I've never played on pianoteq: i've listened to it: recordings from them, from people on this forum
Great lows and rich highs but
There's something wrong with my ears probably, but in the mid range, i hear a "nosy" dx-7 piano sound.
This is the reason why i did'nt make the switch yet....
It's sad because modeling is the future of the piano that'll become a new instrument .
And the samples......we know how much storage it takes and yadi-yada....
My reference is still steinberg the grand version 1.(that is actually a kawai ex concert grand that has been sampled)
Even kawai in its mp5 or else (i got one) didn't get it like the guys at Steinberg.
I'm renewing my software gears (almost no hardwire but the dsp's and the cpu and the memory and ssd's): 64 bits quantum leap....and i'm looking for the best piano sound to fit my needs .....
Any advices ?.....
Maybe i should split cubase the grand and pianoteq d4..In three parts ?
I'm reuly opend and in the process of acquiring a new canned piano...
P.s.: what is the need for an upright piano ?

Seriously, though, most uprights sound very different from grands (except maybe, a baby grand).
I did get a life,once...but it was faulty, so I sent it back.

You have three versions at three different price points. And you can crossgrade between each of those by just paying the price difference, so you can consider it as a lease payment!

The "stage"version is still, really affordable for what you get

"Stage" is stunning value IMHO - and the full Pianoteq 4 is such an amazing product that it's well worth buying into.
The add-ons, though, are perhaps a little pricey (but even then it depends on what you compare them with...)

Wow - that model sounds great, and I've been keen for a warmer piano sound. An unexpected purchase, but a must have for me I think!

Yes, you simply download (it's a tiny file, only takes a minute) from the site and buy the product authorisation from their store. There are various offers and options, so take a while to try out the demo and see which parts of the programme you like and need.

I already tried it. I am interested in the standard version, but the price asked in Moddart site is high, IMO, so I'd like to know if anyone knows any place I could buy it for a lower price.

The price is entirely justified. If it's too much, get Stage first, then upgrade to Standard later on only by paying the price difference. It's like a lease payment.
And don't forget you're not buying just one piano here. In fact, you're getting MUCH more than just one piano - historical pianos, harpsichords, and demos of all optional add-ons (electric pianos, chromatic percussion, steel pans, other piano models...). All this for 250€? I think that's entirely fine!

Maybe I am just spoiled, but comparing that price with the average of (really great) VIs currently available, I find it pricey.
