Hey,

I 2nd V'ger: A nice sampler with good browser, good kit format for sharing presets would be nice. :D

Close group is quite lacking one way or another in freeware samplers and even in some popular and expensive one.

Said it before and will continue to do so.

So...

What about a synth with something similar to VAST-Synthesis as used in the Kurzweil K2500 etc.?

Okay, a stereo jet-phaser?

A granular Synth with pattern programming for the location of the read grains?

A resynthesizer with various functions for graphic modification of the material?

Did you try Loomer Cumulus? It is samplebased, but it does what you said very well.

Have a good day :)

And it's free with CM.
You can't always get what you waaaant...

a standalone program which can (batch) cut samples to zero crossing, automatically

Hello together,

never tried it. Thanks for this :)

Okay, some more ideas.

- a linear phase 4 band limiter

- a linear phase 30 Band graphic equaliser where the gain of each band can
be controlled by the amplitude of the original signal

- a user friendly phase vocoder ;-)

- a vst which can load up to three vst and feedback the output of the chain to
its input (my number one of the list, number two is the K2500-Emu)

- my number three is (this is serious) a Telcom C4 4 band compander system
emulation
http://www.ernstschroeder.de/highcom.htm#telcom
It was used in the early days for tape recordings to reduce the noise.
The signal was split in 4 bands, recorded compressed to tape and played back
de-compressed (expanded).

I would love to see a dynamic eq or multiband dynamics plugin with external sidechain ability for every band/frequency - like the Waves C6 http://www.waves.com/content.aspx?id=10907 or the Brainworx DynEQ http://www.brainworx-music.de/en/plugins/bx_dyneq_v2

To my knowledge that is something not existing in the "alternative plugin world" and yet something very rare in the "commercial plugin world".

(i hope it's okay that i posted the links - it's just meant as an example)

A Fostex MN-50 emulation, or a Shure LEvel-Loc clone (without Ilok, like the SOundtoys one).

I'm also for good spectral mangler. Like dtblkFX, but with better GIU, latency compensation and name that's possible to pronounce. :D
...some stuttering and buffer delay FX functions could be cool too.

Post

Another standalone batch processing tool, but this one can do match eq :D

Im sure donations for the price found will push the devs forward. its a motivation 4 sho. ;)

cheers
