Did you? I did not. I was a good boy. I decided I did not want the strings things, I did not care about being "a day early" and that I'd love some feedback first.

Waves? Nice stuff. Not supported in reaper which is still my main squeeze. I do have renbass though, nothing like it

Ditto. I'm going to wait a few days and see how good/bad the initial reviews are. I've got plenty of good string libraries, so their freebie isn't enticing enough to me to risk having to deal with a repeat of the X1 disaster.

Exactamundo (except x1 wasn't a disaster for me)

I'm pretty embarrassed though that I jumped all over that bandwagon and so many people had so many problems (I'm pretty sure I gave the green light to a couple, my f**king bad)

The worst part this time around is after have a couple of glasses of wine (I know

) and watching the "webinar" I was like "whoa, if that worked for me........."

yes x1 also cured my gas, with that abomination (imvhooc) of a bolted-on gui, aided and abetted by bugs-a-many (altho i did get the $10 expanded thing) i don't even have any of it installed right now...

I watched a tv show "American Pickers" about two guys that go search out jewels in people's old junk. I dont feel too bad about my little GAS habit. I certainly have plenty to last me my whole life at this point but as long as there is no huge warehouse of crap I'm ok with getting more 'gear'. It is kind of the glory of software that it doesn't take much space.

If X2 can achieve X1D's level of stability by the FIRST patch (within a month or two), it will be a success. Cake must know that stability is job 1 for them after getting X1 off the ground. They can't continue releasing stuff before it's ready.

That said, I plan to upgrade before I start my next big project, which is music and background sounds for a game - coming up soon. I don't want to switch mid-way, but want the ease-of-use features. I could be fodder for the Cakemill by December.
