I want to use beatmaker to control my NLog synth app with a midi track played by the sequencer in beatmaker and be able to change the settings and effects in the NLog synth while a loop of midi plays on the beatmaker sequencer. I have managed to use beatmaker to send the midi to the synth on the background but I can't switch between apps. I have seen videos where they switch from beatmaker to the other apps while beatmaker keeps playing, but mine just stops and the session is closed, it is really annoying having to open the session everytime I minimize beatmaker i think something is wrong . Help please :(

Open the General Settings and scroll down to Beatmaker on the list of apps. Open that and turn background audio on, that should do the trick!

I have another question. To add the audio from the synth to the beatmaker sequencer do I have to audiocopy it from the synth and paste it as a sample on them drum pad? Is there a more direct way to add the synth sound like pasting the wav file directly into the sequencer? Because when using it as a sample seems like the timing with the rest of the instruments is not the same as when it was the midi playing the synth with the virtual midi.

With the latest update of BM2, you can add an Audio Track and paste the wave into that. Look for it on the same screen where you add samplers and drum kits.

Go to the main transport screen, with all the tracks. Click the small plus sign next to the speaker icon, it will open a window where you can choose to "Import Sample" from the user list. Your sample should be on this list if you've copy and pasted it into Beatmaker. :). Edit- just saw you figured this out, but will leave this here for others.

And once audiobus is released you will be able to connect the sound out from nlog direct into the recording track while the midi from BM tells nlog what to play ....
